This was a heavy week on General Hospital, airing January 26–30, 2026, and it felt especially familiar because the storm on screen matched what we were dealing with in real life. Pittsburgh was hit with a massive snowstorm that kept us mostly snowed in throughout the week, so watching Port Charles shut down, lose power, and force people to stay put felt very real. The weather limited movement and kept characters in place long enough for situations and conversations to play out.
Joss told Brennan about the catacombs as a way to get around Wyndemere and that Marco was strongly against anyone using them, and Brennan reminded her she was deactivated. She later went to Brick and asked directly about power grids and how electricity could be cut to an island. Brick questioned her but accepted her explanation that it was for a school project. Joss went to Wyndemere intentionally, believing everyone would be gone because of the storm, and ended up crossing paths with Cullum. When he caught her snooping, she backed off, played it off, and still managed to notice details around her, including the book dedication that immediately made her think of Anna.
Anna’s scenes were brief but increasingly disturbing. Isolated without power, she was being taunted by someone presenting himself as Faison, using his voice and referencing Britt, Nathan, and Peter. The voice questioned Anna about why she never killed Faison when she had the chance. Anna wrote the date of her abduction on the wall and appeared more disoriented as the week went on, unsure how much time had passed. By the end of the week, the power outage and the appearance of the masked figure reinforced how long she’s been held there and how much it’s starting to affect her.
Britt and Jason’s week started with tension. Jason showed up at Britt’s work, where she threatened him with a restraining order and told him to stay away, pulling Lucas into the situation in the process. As the week went on, Lucas became more suspicious after realizing Britt had been at Wyndemere acting as a personal concierge for Sidwell and Marco, something he had never known about and didn’t seem to be buying the explanations for. By the end of the week, Britt and Jason were snowed in together, and Britt explained her continued work under Cullum, Sidwell’s role in Dalton’s death, the WSB involvement, and how her Huntington’s medication is being used to control her.
Molly and Cody were also snowed in together. Cody read Molly’s manuscript after it fell out of her bag because he was impressed by her and wanted to support her. What hurt him was how he was described early in the book and what that suggested about how Molly once saw him. Realizing that other people may have thought that way about him was one thing, but learning Molly did too was harder to take. Wanting distance, Cody let Molly have the bed and chose to sleep in the stables with the horses instead.
Tracy and Martin ended up stuck together when Tracy went to Drew’s place to retrieve boxes of Quartermaine family heirlooms while Drew was still in the hospital. Tracy revealed she had made a copy of Drew’s key using Scout’s key when Scout was visiting Monica. Martin was staying there after Willow told him he could, and the storm left them sharing the space. Tracy talked openly about Luke and their relationship, while Martin continued to blame Tracy for his current situation, leading to a blunt conversation about past choices and repeating patterns.
Portia’s conversation with Trina centered on paternity and trust. Trina raised concerns about Portia lying for years about her father and now lying again about the paternity of this baby. Portia repeatedly talked over her, pushed forgiveness, and refused to engage with what Trina was actually saying. The focus stayed on Portia’s need to be forgiven rather than addressing the damage caused by those lies.
We also spent time on some of the “wait, what?” details from the week. The exterior shot of Wyndemere didn’t match what we’ve seen in the past, raising plenty of “where did the parapets go?” questions. We noticed the garage coffee shop menu, including items like “Sabrina’s Espresso” and “Bad Jen Drip.” The generator situation during the storm stood out as well, especially with Wyndemere apparently relying on a single backup.

We shared listener emails this week, including one pointing out that an injection site on Drew’s neck would likely have been visible and could have been overlooked during the chaos of trying to save him. We also talked through a long-standing fan rumor about Steve Burton refusing love scenes for religious reasons and how that rumor was debunked years ago on his podcast. We discussed the upcoming Tony Geary tribute and listener questions about family connections and opening credits.
