Amanda and Shannon became friends because of their shared love of General Hospital.  For years they've wondered how many other fans had conversations and swapped text messages just like they do.

The idea for the podcast occurred, but for over 2 years, they struggled to find a name. Then one day it hit: Pier 54.  The Pier is where all the hidden conversations take place and secrets are revealed.

They launched the show on April 1, 2019 which happens to be the same day General Hospital debuted in 1963.  Each week they release two episodes: The Weekly Recap on Monday which they talk about the prior weeks' episodes and share their take on storylines and predictions for the future.  Thursday is The Port Charles 411 where they research a topic and do a full deep dive.  Past topics include various family trees (Webbers, Baldwins, etc) events (Nurses Ball, holidays, etc), characters (Drew Cain, Jasper Jax, etc) and more!  Have an idea for a show?
