General Hospital Recap: May 18-22, 2026

Curtis, Isaiah, and a New Face at the PCPD

Curtis Ashford started the week in handcuffs. Multiple Metro Court witnesses called the police after he punched Isaiah Gannon, and new PCPD detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett, Aaron Samuels from Mean Girls) made the arrest.

Fitzpatrick came in skeptical and had questions about the kind of pull Curtis seemed to have around town. Dante Falconeri laid it out for him: Jordan Ashford was the former commissioner of the PCPD; Curtis was a former detective and the current CEO of Aurora Media; and Dante's own ex-mother-in-law was the mayor. Fitzpatrick told Dante he had seen enough to consider handing in his resignation on day one. Dante talked him into staying.

When Dante tried to ask Curtis whether he had thrown the first punch, Curtis kept steering the conversation back to Isaiah. Curtis believes Isaiah was the other vehicle on the road the night of Jordan's accident, and that is where his focus stayed. Previous paint analysis from the accident scene had pointed to a German vehicle, and Isaiah drives a German car. What complicates things now is that Isaiah had his car repainted before any comparison could be made, which has significantly narrowed that path.

Isaiah's injuries from the fall were more serious than anyone expected. He sustained eleven fractures in his hand along with severed tendons in his index and middle fingers. The medical team outlined a course of microsurgeries, each requiring full recovery before the next can begin. For a surgeon, that prognosis changes everything.

DA Justine Turner had spoken with Jordan before any of this happened, and Jordan told her plainly that the accident was her own fault. Later in the week, Turner confided in Sonny Corinthos about her hesitancy to move forward with the assault case. Jordan is her friend, and Jordan is already hurting. Turner is struggling with it.

Brook Lynn, Chase, Ethan, and Phoebe

Chase came home and asked Brook Lynn Quartermaine whether the studio executives who had shown interest in Trina Robinson would still be a factor, given everything with Curtis. Then he told her Curtis had been arrested for assault. In walking through the details, he brought up Isaiah leaving the scene of Jordan's accident without stopping. Brook Lynn did not say much.

Ethan Lovett stopped by the house again this week. Brook Lynn offered to let him hold Phoebe, and the baby looked up at him with those big eyes and the most curious face she had had all week.

Alexis, Ava, and the Kids at Wyndemere

Before Danny Morgan and Charlotte Cassadine ever set foot at Wyndemere, Jenz Sidwell had already warned Ross Cullum to leave Danny alone. Cullum was convinced Danny had shot him, and Sidwell told him plainly that Danny was a Quartermaine with strong ties to Sonny Corinthos. Standing down was not a suggestion.

Britt Westbourne came to Wyndemere for her medication. In the conversation that followed, Cullum threatened to withhold it until she delivered on the project. Britt pushed back. Cullum eventually gave her the injection, and the conversation continued about what was expected of her.

As Sidwell walked Britt out, Danny and Charlotte slipped into the house. They had overheard enough to know Britt's medication was being withheld as leverage. They were making their way toward the basement, where Charlotte knew where the key was kept, when Cullum caught them.

Sidwell and Ava Jerome came through the front door and found Cullum with the teenagers. Cullum tried to cover, saying he was there on official WSB business. Sidwell told him he would not be pressing charges. He had already concluded that Danny could not have been on the pier the night of the shooting, and he called Cullum separately with that information.

Ava called Alexis Davis, who came to Wyndemere to collect Danny and Charlotte. Sidwell knew Charlotte's father was on the run and that Danny's father had been taken by the WSB. Alexis told them both to stop doing things like this.

By that point, Cullum had already been at General Hospital and overheard a private conversation between Britt and Rocco. Between what Sidwell had told him and what he had just heard at the hospital, Cullum was starting to piece together who actually pulled the trigger.

Nina, Willow, and Jack Brennan

Nina Reeves agreed to handle the next injection, so Willow could stay away from Jack Brennan's room. She went in with a cover story: she had been with Brennan when he collapsed and was checking in on him.

Ross Cullum was watching from across the room and noted she seemed unusually concerned for someone she barely knew. Nina held her ground. When Cullum left, she reached Brennan's bedside and pulled out the syringe. He looked at her. Then he spoke. He told her that blinking once for yes and twice for no took too long.

Nina put the syringe in the biohazard box.

Cullum returned to visit shortly after. Brennan did not say a word.

Britt and Danny

Britt went to find Danny about his trip to Wyndemere. He said nothing. She told him he was infuriating, just like his father.

Danny told her he had seen them give her an injection at Wyndemere and that he knew Jason Morgan had not shot Cullum. He wanted to know why Jason would say he did. Britt confirmed it: Jason had told her to say he pulled the trigger before he was taken away. She told Danny that his father only ever wants him to be safe. Danny said his father wants the same for her.

Lucas and Pascal

This week confirmed that Pascal has known who killed Marco from the beginning.

Lucas Jones laid it out. If Pascal had believed he did nothing wrong, he would have gone to Sidwell. He stayed quiet because he knew exactly what he had done. Pascal admitted it: he had assumed Lucas would be the one who died. Marco would have survived, and Lucas would have been gone. Lucas said Marco made his own choices, including the decision to help Britt. That was on Marco.

Pascal said he feels haunted. Lucas told him that it was not Marco. That was his guilt.

Rocco, Lulu, Dante, and the Passports

After arguing with Danny and Charlotte and failing to talk them out of going to Wyndemere, Rocco went to Gio. He started to open up and then stopped himself. Gio sensed enough to go to Dante on his own.

When they got in the car, classical music was already playing. Dante mentioned he had been educating himself on it. The look he gave Gio said more than that. Gio recognized the piece, Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35, and told Dante it was one of his favorites. When they got to Lulu's house, Rocco was already home. Britt had driven him back after their earlier conversation, where she told him she was leaving.

Later in the week, Ethan Lovett came to the house and delivered what Lulu had asked him to get: fake passports. Lulu's would list her as Sarah Anderson; Rocco's would list him as Tyler Anderson. She had sent Rocco to the store before Ethan arrived, so he would not see the handoff. Ethan offered to arrange the rest of the getaway, but Lulu told him she had time to handle it herself.

When Dante arrived and saw the packed bags, the argument started. Lulu told him she was getting ready in case she had to take Rocco and go. Dante told her, "You'll make my son a fugitive over my dead body," and said he would assign officers around the clock before he let her leave with Rocco. Ethan made himself scarce when Dante arrived. Outside, Rocco was with Gio and told him he would never trust him again.

Rocco eventually went through the bags himself, found his passport, and reached out to Britt. She told him to come to her office at General Hospital right away.

On Friday, with Dante's threat of around-the-clock surveillance looming, Lulu told Ethan she needed to move that day. Before they could finalize anything, Laura called and asked them to meet her. She told Lulu she had heard from Dante that she was planning to take Rocco and go. Then she said she supported the decision. She had done the same thing once to keep her family safe. She promised to look after Charlotte. She turned to Ethan and asked him to look after his sister. "You have my word," he said. Laura told him that was exactly how Luke would have said it.

When Lulu and Ethan returned home, Rocco was gone. So was his passport.

Britt and Rocco: The One-Way Ticket

Britt Westbourne was on the phone booking a one-way flight to Berlin when Rocco arrived at her office.

They covered ground they had both been avoiding. Rocco told her she was the only person who could tell him about the first seven months of his life. She told him that when the time came, he needed to contact his parents. He did not agree to that. "You brought me into this world," he told her. "I want to be there when you leave it."

When they were ready to go, Britt told Rocco to head to her car and wait. Before she could follow, Liz stopped by the office. Liz spotted the passport on the desk, picked it up, and started asking questions. Britt pushed her into the bathroom and put a chair against the door.

Before leaving town, Britt called Sonny Corinthos with one piece of information: Sidwell was the one who killed Dalton. Then she walked out.

Dante arrived and found Liz locked in the bathroom. Britt and Rocco were already gone.

Anna, Valentin, and France

Laura Spencer brought the news to Mac, Felicia, and Emma this week. Anna Devane had escaped from her facility in France. She had made it over the exterior walls, flagged down a driver, hijacked a car, and came close to the border before French authorities stopped her in a high-speed chase. The facility determined the current placement was no longer adequate and moved to transfer her to a long-term unit for patients considered a danger to themselves or others. Kevin Collins tried to intervene and could not. Robin and Patrick were on their way to make arrangements. Emma was heartbroken.

Valentin Cassadine got word through his own contacts. He came to Carly in tears and said Cullum had succeeded in breaking Anna and that he was going to France to get her out himself. Carly pushed back. She pointed out he was not a psychiatrist. He told her he was trained in operational psychology and tactical behavior assessment. She asked what he planned to do with Anna once he got her back to Port Charles and referenced Jane Eyre. He was not deterred.

Later in the week, Danny and Charlotte came to Carly's to report what they had overheard at Wyndemere. When Valentin and Carly heard that Cullum had been withholding Britt's Huntington's medication as leverage, both of them felt for her. Valentin said he would find a way to shut down the project.

Laura and Willow

Laura went to Alexis Davis first. She needed to approach Willow, but did not know her well enough to walk in without some guidance. Alexis suggested appealing to her as a mother and noted that people tend to underestimate Willow.

Laura explained what was happening with Anna and asked Willow to make calls on her behalf: get the escape charges dropped and stop the transfer to the long-term facility. Willow did not hesitate. Anna and Laura had both played a role in bringing Liesl home, and Liesl's return had saved Willow's life when she had leukemia. Willow told Laura there was no question she would help.

Willow made the calls. The charges from Anna's escape were dropped, and Anna would remain at her original facility. She would not be released until she was medically cleared, but the transfer to the long-term unit was stopped.

Josslyn and Cassius

Josslyn Jacks found a message Anna Devane had left behind in the room where she is being held. She confronted Cassius about it, accused him of planting it to rattle her, and he told her he had no idea the writing was even there. During the week, she knocked him over the head with a chair and found tools hidden in the mattress she had been sleeping on. Cassius told her that if he had wanted her dead, she already would be.

Quick Notes

Molly Lansing-Davis had her final post-surgery checkup. Kristina Corinthos-Davis was there with her. The two discussed how present Cody had been throughout the process.

Sonny Corinthos told Ric Lansing that Sidwell's endgame was getting close. Ross Cullum went looking for Rocco and crossed paths with Liz at the hospital. Emma broke Anna's British flag coffee mug, the one she had made for Anna when she was ten, while trying to make Felicia a cup of tea. Emma told Felicia she has been relearning guitar.

Port Charles Pipeline

Melanie followed up to check whether Shannon and Amanda had connected with the contacts she passed along. They have not yet. It is on the list.

Louise sent in a full rundown of her Mother's Day basket for her mother. The centerpiece was a watering can paired with a sketch of the Flor de Maga, Puerto Rico's national flower and her mother's favorite, drawn by a cousin who is an artist. Also inside: a charm bracelet announcing that she is about to become a great-great-grandmother, homemade churros, and a photo collage of all eighteen family members. Louise also picked up a ticket to see Jonathan Jackson's show and is thinking about heading to see Steve and Bradford in July.

Emily and Renee wrote back after their guest appearance on the show. Emily is moving back to a house about a mile down the road from her mother later this year, which means they will actually get to watch together again instead of communicating exclusively through "are you caught up yet?" texts. They also sent in Carly and Joss as their pick for favorite mother-daughter duo. And they dug up old prediction text chains from 2022, including one in which Shannon and Amanda said there was no way Liz would fake being pregnant with Nikolas's baby to keep Esme away, because Liz had grown too much as a character. Emily's mom called it immediately. Same with Esme being Heather and Ryan's daughter. She was convinced well before the reveal.

Calla Lily wrote in about Dante and his conversation with Rocco this week. She has not always given Dante enough credit and said this week reminded her why she started coming around on him. She also flagged something the show has not made enough of: Rocco saved Jason and Britt's lives at the pier. Dante brought it up with Rocco this week, though she was not sure Rocco fully absorbed it. Nobody has said it to him plainly, and Calla Lily noticed.

Reality Check

Amanda has news. Her son Matthew proposed to Julie in Maine this week during a hiking trip to the state park. He had hinted it might happen, but had not committed to when. The text came in at four thirty in the morning on Friday with a photo of her hand and the ring. He sent the group chat a message saying she said no, then immediately sent the real photo. Amanda had been sitting on the news since five in the morning and could not say a word until they made it public themselves. She is over the moon.

Shannon's week had a rough ending. Thursday was her fifteen-year anniversary with JD, and Friday night took an unexpected turn. JD had a severe vertigo episode while running a quick errand and called her to come get him. She found him at a gas station, barely able to sit upright. They spent the night in the emergency room with a CT scan, chest X-ray, saline drip, and anti-nausea medication. The working diagnosis is severe vertigo. He cannot drive until his follow-up appointment, which, because of the holiday weekend, is not until Tuesday. Shannon is running on very little sleep and still has a real estate offer to get through before she can rest. She says he is okay.
