The Family That Kills Together, Heals Together
General Hospital Recap: July 20-24, 2026

Jason and Danny finally made it home this week, Portia and Curtis welcomed a son who made General Hospital history, and Lulu handed Charlotte a decision that could reshape the whole Cassadine custody fight. Nina also did something at a dock that cannot be undone.

Valentin, Carly, and Brick's Warning
Charlotte showed up at Carly's with a suitcase, wanting to move in after a fight with Lulu. Carly encouraged her to work things out with her mother, but Charlotte refused. Charlotte let slip that Danny was on a trip with Jason, which is how Carly learned Jason was back in town without hearing it from him first.
Brick tracked Valentin down on a public basketball court and told him to take his pardon and leave Port Charles for good. Valentin refused, telling him Carly and Charlotte were his reason to change. Brick later brought Carly a flash drive of everything the WSB had on Valentin. She put it in a drawer without watching it, telling Brick she already knew enough about who Valentin used to be.
Lulu's Decision
Dante pushed Lulu to let Charlotte choose which parent to live with, warning her that holding on too tight risked losing Charlotte for good. Lulu came around to it. She brought the decision to Carly and Valentin together: Charlotte could choose, but Valentin needed a home of his own first, not Carly's house or a hotel suite. "I've just done some soul searching," she told him. Valentin agreed and promised to keep reminding Charlotte how much her mother loved her.
Rocco, Charlotte, and the Weight of the Secret
Lulu told Sonny and Ric, under attorney-client privilege, that Rocco shot Cullum, not Jason. Sonny later found Rocco folding towels at work and told him he already knew, offering to talk him through it whenever he needed, since he'd carried something similar himself at that age.
Rocco was still angry that Danny had gone to Brennan with the truth about the shooting. Charlotte defended it, reminding Rocco that she and Danny were the ones who'd caused the Spoon Island distraction, pointing out how far their family had already gone to protect him. Rocco fired back with a jab at Valentin, then told her the next time she and Danny caused a problem, he wouldn't take the fall for it, and stormed off.
Anna, Brennan, and the Missing Evidence
Anna returned to active duty and found the file on Cullum's shooting missing entirely. Brennan told her Cullum was likely behind her own kidnapping, then refused to name Cullum's actual shooter and warned her off digging further. Anna confronted Chase separately about the missing traffic footage from Willow's case, and offered him a path back to detective if he helped her build a case against Cassius and Britt.
Dante then told Anna the Pier 55 evidence was gone permanently. "The evidence disappeared on my watch, and I take full responsibility for that," he told her. Anna suggested letting it rest, and privately admitted to herself that she knew exactly why he'd destroyed it.
Nina, Brennan, and the Black Box
Nina woke up in Brennan's room after a night neither of them had planned, and was furious when he implied she'd slept with him for his help. He apologized and admitted he'd genuinely enjoyed the night.
Josslyn later sat in on Brennan's interview of Britt about the black box, and afterward asked him point blank whether he was chasing Cullum's secrets or his own.
Willow and Drew
Willow brought Drew to watch Scout's practice swim, worried he was close to regaining mobility since she'd been out of the paralytic ever since her supplier, Sidwell, was arrested. At the boathouse, Nina suggested they simply run rather than keep fighting to control him. Willow refused. Nina noticed Drew's wheelchair at the edge of the dock and seemed to get an idea of her own. Willow left, telling the family she had WSB business to handle in her office. Later that same day, Brennan called her to say he didn't have the leverage he'd promised, but offered to get her, Nina, and the kids out of town with new identities instead. Willow left the choice up to Nina. Alone with Drew, who was now finding ways to communicate with her, Nina pushed his wheelchair into the lake.
Portia, Curtis, and a New Baby
Portia and Curtis's son arrived, marking the first on-screen birth of a Black baby in General Hospital's history. After going back and forth on names, they landed on Desmond Robinson Ashford. When Curtis asked to stay the first night home, Portia set a boundary: visits with notice, no overnights yet.
Trina, Gio, and a New Contract
Record producer Simon tried to sign Gio and Trina as separate solo acts. Gio refused, insisting on a package deal, and Simon came around. Kai's estranged friend Quinn resurfaced with an apology for Trina. The episode closed on a board covered in photos of Trina, hinting she has a stalker somewhere in Port Charles.
Molly, Ezra, and an Immunity Deal
Molly canceled her book tour to help prosecute Sidwell. Laura convinced Ezra that honesty and a plea deal were his best option, and made the case to Molly that Sidwell's threats against him were worth leniency in exchange for his testimony.
Maxie, Spinelli, and a Move to Australia
Maxie, Spinelli, and James are relocating to Australia. Maxie divested her Deception shares, and while Tracy and Lucy both scrambled to claim them, Michael revealed she'd sold to him instead. Mac and Felicia brought James by to reconcile with Cody before the move, and Cody named the stable's newborn foal West in his honor.
Jason and Danny Come Home
Jason and Danny returned from their road trip to a crowded scene at the Quartermaine boathouse. Jason told the family he wanted a fresh start for everyone, then spoke privately with Rocco, taking continued responsibility for what happened with Cullum. He later went to the hospital to see Britt, who had no idea he'd been released.
Quick Notes
Alexis and Valentin met at Bobbie's, where he apologized for the scrutiny she faced while he was on the run.
Dante and Chase started rebuilding their friendship, with Anna hoping to pair them back up once Chase is reinstated.
Willow asked Chase to join her on a D.C. trip for a police conference. He turned her down, telling her he and Brook Lynn were prioritizing family.
Port Charles Pipeline
Amber wrote in hoping Curtis and Portia would work Marshall and Zeke into the baby's name somehow.
Stephanie sent in a sharp piece of continuity, reminding the hosts why Carly and Valentin were on that road the night of Curtis and Jordan's accident: Charlotte had called them after her own crash with Danny.
Tammy wrote in feeling sad about Maxie and Spinelli's move to Australia and hoping James and Spinelli find their way back to Port Charles eventually.

Reality Check
Amanda got a haircut, brought her bangs back, and spent the week getting ready to start a new job. The bigger news was taking her mother in for a hearing test after a recent dementia diagnosis. Her mother qualified for hearing aids, and hearing her clearly again for the first time in years was an emotional moment Amanda didn't expect.
Shannon closed two home listings and finalized a sale before treating her daughter to a day at the zoo. Their home internet has been spotty all week thanks to an outage at her husband's office.
