General Hospital Recap May 4 - 8, 2026

Jack Brennan showed up in Carly Spencer's bedroom looking for a fight and found Valentin Cassadine holding a gun on him instead. That was just Monday. By Friday, Josslyn Jacks had heard exactly who she is dealing with and Sonny Corinthos had pulled a gun on his own brother. Tune in to this week's Pier 54 episode at GeneralHospitalPodcast.com to hear Shannon and Amanda break it all down.

Carly, Valentin, and Jack Brennan: No Going Back

Jack burst in expecting to find Carly in bed with her new man. He yelled at her. Then Valentin Cassadine stepped out from hiding with a gun pointed at him.

Valentin introduced Carly as his attorney and explained that she had come to him after learning what Brennan had done to recruit Josslyn to the WSB. When Brennan threatened Carly with treason charges, Valentin had his own answer ready. Cullum is a double agent who has been positioning Brennan as a fall guy from the start. Going to Cullum with information about Valentin would only accelerate his own downfall.

Cullum Takes Control

Later in the week, Brennan went to Cullum as he was being discharged, hoping to get him out of town. Cullum was not interested. He was furious that Brennan had not seized the evidence from his shooting before the PCPD locked it down, declared him incompetent, and made clear he was now in charge. He demanded a full list of every agent in the network.

Joss Confronted, Taken, and Told Everything

Britt Westbourne had told Nathan what she knew: Josslyn Jacks is a WSB agent. Armed with that, Nathan went to Joss's apartment to confront her.

He called her Agent Jacks. She fought back hard. He choked her unconscious, called Pascal, and had her taken below Wyndemere to the same underground room where Anna Devane had been held. She spent the week searching the room and looking for any way out while Nathan watched from the other side.

By Thursday he came in with food and a gun. He told her Nathan West was dead. He was Nathan's twin, Cassius Faison. His existence had been kept secret, Liesl had been made to believe he died at birth, and he had Nathan's body exhumed to fool Anna. He had also hacked the PCPD database to replace Nathan's fingerprints with his own.

Cassius told Joss that Britt had exposed her WSB status to him. He told her he and Britt wanted out of the arrangement with Cullum and Sidwell, but things had gone too far. He said he was improvising.

"Nobody would suspect Nathan West in your disappearance." ~Cassius Faison

Joss put together that if he was telling her all of this, she probably was not going to survive it.

Cassius's Injuries and Britt's Surprise Patient

Cassius came away from the fight with Joss with two broken ribs. He went to Dr. Isaiah Gannon for help and asked to be listed as a John Doe. Isaiah had reservations but agreed to run a CT scan, then was called away to assist with a transplant. He handed the patient off to Britt. She was not happy about it, but the moment she walked into the room she understood why he had insisted.

Britt also saw Emma Scorpio-Drake this week. Emma had been scheduled with Dr. Navarro, but Britt was filling in. Emma came in for her annual exam.

Britt went through the standard questions, including whether Emma's partner was as monogamous as she believed. Emma mentioned her mom had contracted HIV from someone who did not know he was a carrier. As the appointment wrapped up, headaches came up. Britt asked about them. Emma said they were from her birth control. Britt asked if she wanted to discuss other birth control options. Emma did and Britt wrote her a new prescription. She was surprised when Emma said she would follow up with her in a few months rather than returning to Navarro.

Ric, Elizabeth, and Laura: The Trip and the Warning

Ric Lansing brought flowers to Elizabeth at the hospital and asked her to go away with him, then walked through every reason she might say no. She said yes before he finished. He had come prepared for a longer fight. She sent him off with the flowers and asked for a kiss on his way out.

Liz went to Laura and was enthusiastic. She also asked if Laura would keep an eye on Aiden, who would be home alone while they were away. Laura was glad for her but gently raised how quickly things were moving and whether Elizabeth had thought through what all of it meant.

She then called Ric to her office and tried to find out whether he had truly changed. Ric recounted how much he had worked to be better. Laura pushed back. He was doing the same things he had always done, meeting with Ava, lying about where he had been, and pulling Liz into the middle of it. Sidwell does not know Elizabeth is connected to any of this. The moment she is visibly linked to Ric, that changes. The information Liz does not have is exactly what puts her in danger.

Nathan, Lulu, and the Warning She Refused

Nathan went to Lulu Spencer's home with one message: get Rocco out of town now. He was very clear about it. It was not if Cullum found out Rocco shot him. It was when. And when he did, he would kill him.

Lulu pushed back hard. She was not taking orders about her son from someone who had been gone for seven years and was only recently back in her life. Nathan laid out exactly what Cullum was capable of. Lulu held her position.

"She's stubborn. She's going to get her kid hurt." — Shannon, Podcast Host

Dante, Liz, and What the Blood Revealed

Dante Falconeri caught up with Elizabeth at the hospital and asked for her help. She handed over a blood sample she had drawn from Cullum. When the results came back, they met in Dante's office at the PCPD.

The blood on the gun was not Cullum's. Dante pointed out that Jason getting a slide bite from the pistol was a rookie mistake, not something an experienced shooter makes. It pointed to someone else pulling the trigger.

Liz already knew. She told him she had treated Rocco that night for what he said was a knife cut, but the injury was consistent with a slide bite. They pieced it together. Rocco and Danny are brothers. Of course, Jason would protect him.

Drew, Nina, and a Very Crowded Room

Before leaving for a meeting, Willow had been working through some physical therapy exercises with him and talking to him. She asked Nina to give him his next injection before she left. Drew had already overheard Nina mention that Kai knew Willow had shot him.

Nina left the syringe in the room with Drew and stepped away, then had to run back in to retrieve it. Before she could administer the dose, Valentin called with a job for her. On his instructions she invited Jack to the house, telling him she had information on Valentin. As the doorbell rang, Nina was still holding the syringe. She shoved it under a toy truck on the bookcase before opening the door.

Jack pressed her. Valentin then stepped out with a gun and demanded to know where Jack had sent Joss. Jack denied it but smirked that Carly would need him to find her. Valentin disarmed Jack.

Then they started fighting for the gun.

Drew sat in the other room listening to all of it.

Nina grabbed the syringe and lunged into the struggle. The men were moving, the room was chaos, and when it was over, Jack was down with the needle in his back. Whether Brennan was the intended target or whether it happened in the confusion is not entirely clear.

One dose of Drew's medication is gone, Valentin is still standing, and Jack is on the floor at Willow's house with no clean explanation available.

Ethan, Sonny, and Ric: Building Toward a Confrontation

Ethan Lovett was at the pier early in the week, leaving another voicemail wondering why she, Delilah, had not shown up at their agreed meeting point. When Sonny arrived, Ethan reported what he had seen: Ric Lansing meeting with Ava Jerome at the Metro Court Gardens, after which Ava went straight to Sidwell.

Sonny summoned Ric and asked where he had been the day before. Ric claimed a client meeting at the DA's office. Sonny checked with Turner. There had been no meeting. He went to Alexis, who told him Ric had been working to rebuild and she had not seen him revert. Sonny decided to give his brother the benefit of the doubt. He did not stay there.

Ethan visited Tracy, who pushed him to quit working for Sonny and offered a lead on an Aurora Wellness position in Australia. Ethan said he knew nothing about wellness companies and had come to Port Charles to meet a partner on a job. She had never shown up.

Then Brook Lynn, Chase, and baby Phoebe arrived. They told him how Phoebe came to them. They had found Delilah in distress, got her to the hospital, and her baby was delivered. Delilah died after. When she first collapsed they had looked through her purse for identification or emergency contacts and found nothing. Chase mentioned the PCPD had been trying to find information on her but it seemed like she had been running from something.

Ethan tried not to let it show. He had not known she was dead. He thought she had just not shown up. Now he knew. He left without saying much.

He went back to the pier, pulled out a Polaroid photo of Delilah, and talked to it. He told her he had met the baby. He said he should have been there for her. Then he burned the photo.

The Savoy: Michael James Scott, Adoption Talk, and Trina's Next Move

Broadway star Michael James Scott performed at the Savoy this week, a solo show where he sang "Friend Like Me." Curtis Ashford told him he was welcome back anytime.

Brook Lynn and Chase had both been reluctant to be there. Curtis got into the details of Jordan's accident during the evening, which rattled Brook Lynn. It was also where she and Chase finally talked through the adoption and found out they were on the same page. Brook Lynn raised her past as a concern for a background check. Chase said they had to try.

Brook Lynn also talked to Trina Robinson at the Savoy about recording sessions and producer meetings she could set up for her, seemingly driven as much by guilt over what she thinks she did to Jordan as by anything else.

Molly, Cody, and a Dinner That Gets Complicated

Molly told Cody about the book tour. He offered to come along. He mentioned he collects the little hotel soaps. She worried about being together around the clock. He told her he was looking forward to all of it, the overpacking and the overplanning and the overthinking included. He called her his partner. She told him it sounded right.

Later at the Metro Court Gardens, Ric joined Molly and Cody. Molly told him about the book being published. Ric was genuinely pleased. Then Ava pulled him away to confirm their deal was still on.

The Gallery: Trina, Gio, Ric, Ava, and Sonny

Trina was at the Jerome Gallery when Gio arrived. She asked him to play guitar as backup for an upcoming recording interview. He agreed. They were still there when Ava arrived. Ric was already there with a briefcase. He gave Ava her cut of whatever they had been working on together. Then Sonny and Ethan walked in. Sonny pulled out a gun and told his brother this was the last time he had betrayed him.

Lucas: Wyndemere, Kristina's Courts, and Carly's News

Earlier in the week, Lucas was caught snooping around Wyndemere. Pascal cornered him and suggested Lucas was responsible for Marco's death. When Ava and Sidwell arrived, Lucas shifted the conversation and brought up Kristina Corinthos-Davis's plan to build tennis courts at the LGBTQ+ community center in Marco's memory. Sidwell offered to write a check for the whole project. Ava pointed out that Kristina's goal was to get the community involved, not just cover the cost, and suggested an anonymous donation instead. Sidwell agreed.

Later, Lucas had dinner with Felicia Jones at Café Cherie. He told her it was not guilt he was carrying over Marco but regret, and he could not let go until he did something to honor him. Carly stopped by and told them she and Jack were finished. Felicia understood. She said that even people with good intentions can have an allegiance to the WSB that always comes first.

Curtis, Jordan, and the Hit-and-Run Investigation

Jordan Ashford came home from the hospital this week, and the burns on her neck were visible in a way they had not been before. Curtis told her the car involved was a black BMW and that Dr. Isaiah Gannon drives one.

ADA Turner had been pushing the investigation in Isaiah's direction, acting on information Curtis had brought to her. Laura called her in and made her point: what Turner had was Curtis's suspicion and a matching car color, not evidence. She asked her to make sure what she was building was actually solid before she moved on it.

Jordan raised the question of whether she believed Isaiah would have left anyone on the road after an accident. She also made the point that others have made more than once: the other driver may not have even known there was one.

Port Charles Pipeline

Listener Louise sent in a link for Jonathan Jackson and Clare's "Songs and Stories from Music City" show at Vinny's Stress Factory Comedy Club in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The show is June 6, noon, doors at 10:30 a.m. General admission is $59 and VIP tickets are $82. Louise mentioned she does not have anyone in her area who follows the show and would love to connect with other GH fans.

If you are in the New Jersey area and want to go, write in to the show and Shannon and Amanda will help connect you. And if there is any GH event you want to attend but would rather not go to alone, reach out. They will share it.

Also this week, a listener wrote in suggesting Ethan and Joss as a potential pairing, and Shannon and Amanda had to work through the family tree live on air. Ethan is Luke Spencer's son. Luke's sister is Bobbie. Bobbie's daughter is Carly. Carly's daughter is Joss. That makes Ethan and Joss cousins. Moving on.

Reality Check

Amanda had a quieter week. Madeline had dance pictures, and Amanda spent an afternoon at a tea party with a high school friend and her family. Mother's Day was low-key, with time to see her mom and a backyard fire in the forecast.

Shannon's week was full. She attended the annual disability and mental health summit with her daughter, stayed at a nearby hotel overnight to make the schedule work, and walked out of a last-minute session change with a lead on a program that could be a real fit. On Friday she and her daughter saw the Devil Wears Prada sequel, a week after watching the original for the first time. Friday night was a Beatles-themed after-hours event at the local science center, with a live band, themed activities, and a laser show.

Coming Thursday on Pier 54: Port Charles 411

Shannon and Amanda sat down with their very first mother-daughter fan spotlight. Emily and her mom Renee join the podcast this Thursday, and by all accounts they are the cutest pair.

If you want to be part of a future fan spotlight, head to GeneralHospitalPodcast.com and fill out the form.

We will meet you at the pier.
