Night Shift Season 2 Part 1

In July and August of 2008, General Hospital aired the second season of Night Shift, its primetime spinoff set in the hospital's emergency room after dark. Shannon and Amanda are covering season two four episodes at a time, and this batch runs through episodes one through four.
Episode one, "Crash," opens with Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio bickering on her couch about their unborn baby, and later that night a car crashes into the emergency room during the night shift, killing Dr. Russell Ford and knocking Robin down in the process. Patrick is named temporary chief of staff following Ford's death, then tries to force Robin onto maternity leave and disables her hospital badge when she pushes back. Robin threatens to sue him and the hospital. That same morning, Patrick goes to Robin's apartment to apologize for an earlier fight and finds Jagger Cates walking out of her bathroom in a towel, back in Port Charles for the first time in over a decade. Jagger returns later in the episode with a young son named Stone, introducing him to Robin as his aunt. New interns Claire and Kyle also start on this shift, working under Leo Julian, an attending returning from season one, though nobody realizes yet that Leo and Kyle are brothers.
Episode two, "Other People's Children," follows Robin as she treats a young girl with aplastic anemia who needs a bone marrow transplant, only to find the adoption agency her parents used has vanished. Jagger has knowledge of a baby trafficking ring behind it, and once Robin confides in Patrick, he tells her the hospital has to report it as a liability. Word gets back to the people involved anyway, and several of them turn around and blame Robin for digging into it. At home, Jagger and Robin talk to Stone about his uncle Stone, the man he's named after, and Stone starts showing behavioral patterns that Jagger brushes off as normal kid stuff.
Episode three, "Fallen from the Sky," brings Robert Scorpio into the ER after Jagger pulls him from a plane crash. Robert spends most of the episode hallucinating about an old WSB mission, confusing Patrick for other people, and revealing he once performed his own appendectomy with a steak knife and a bottle of scotch. Doctors eventually find a brain tumor.
Episode four, "We'll Always Have Paris," deals with the fallout of that tumor along with Stone's formal evaluation, where Dr. Saira Batra tells Jagger his son may be on the autism spectrum. Robert also gets blunt with Patrick about whether he's good enough for Robin, and Robin doesn't hold back defending her own choices.
Shannon and Amanda go scene by scene through all four episodes, including a few full disagreements about what actually happened in each one and a theory about who Stone's mother might really be.
