He Wouldn't Have Done That to Maxie, But You Did

General Hospital Recap: June 29-July 3, 2026

Cassius's double life as "Nathan" finally collapsed this week, Sidwell's grip on Port Charles came apart at gunpoint, and Spoon Island ended the week soaked in blood. Anna Is Vindicated, and Peter Reappears

In France, Felicia told Anna's doctor that Anna had been telling the truth about Cassius Faison. She'd confirmed it herself after talking to her family back in Port Charles: the man everyone thought was Nathan wasn't Nathan at all. The doctor congratulated Anna on being able to tell the difference between her fantasies and reality and cleared her to go home. As soon as they left the room, Anna saw Peter August.

Cassius Tries to Take James

Cody, Molly, and James spent the afternoon at the pool, where James accidentally soaked Cody's phone with a water gun and knocked it out of commission. Felicia had been trying to reach Cody to warn him not to leave James alone with "Nathan," but the message had nowhere to go with his phone dead.

Cullum ordered Cassius to kill Sidwell instead of arresting him, warning him that Josslyn and Liesl would pay if he failed. That sent Cassius to stake out a house Sidwell owned, one he'd originally planned to give Marco and Lucas as a wedding gift, alongside Joe Fitzpatrick, while Ezra helped Sidwell hide inside. Sidwell blew Cassius's cover himself, goading him with "Go ahead, Cassius, shoot him," a line that left both Joe and Ezra scrambling to make sense of what they'd just heard. Cassius knocked Joe out, refused to let Sidwell leave with a gun, and let him run rather than shoot his way out. He left Ezra behind to help Joe, then destroyed his SIM card.

From there, Cassius went to the batting cages to meet Cody and James, planning to leave the country with the boy. While they were there, Cody's phone finally dried out enough to work, and he stepped away to check his messages. That's when he heard Felicia's warning not to leave James alone with "Nathan." Cody came back and made it clear, without saying it outright, that he was onto Cassius. With his plan to take James off the table, Cassius told James he loved him and that no matter what anyone said about him going forward, that part wasn't a lie. James begged him not to go. Cassius left alone, planning to flee the country as Oliver Brown.

Cullum Turns on Jack Brennan

Cullum went to see Jack Brennan at Turning Woods, restrained him, and told him he'd added a DNR order to his chart. He put a gas mask on Jack, connected to a canister, and released carbon monoxide while Jack screamed and fought against the restraints.

Nina arrived a short time later with food from Metro Court and found Jack unconscious. She started CPR, revived him, and shut off the gas. Once he could talk, Jack told her Cullum had tried to kill him and wanted the WSB alerted. Nina caught herself before immediately calling for help, realizing this had almost certainly been done to him deliberately and that she needed to think before acting.

Wyndemere Becomes a Trap

Liesl told Josslyn she had finished the cold fusion prototype, then showed her the wire cutters she'd managed to keep hidden from the lab. Josslyn used them to break through the drywall of their cell, and the two worked out which of the exposed wires would actually open the door, guessing correctly that a blue one just ran to the lights rather than the lock.

Around the same time, Charlotte and Danny gave Carly a way into Wyndemere using directions Charlotte had memorized from her time there. Carly went in alone and was caught by Agent Harker. Cassius arrived, shot Harker, and gave her the door code. She reached the cell right as Josslyn and Liesl got the door open from the inside. Josslyn insisted on leaving to help Cassius stop Cullum from moving the device rather than staying safe, and Liesl locked herself and Carly back inside so Carly couldn't follow her into danger.

Sidwell's Last Stand at the Gallery

Sidwell cornered Ava, Ethan, and Justine Turner at the art gallery. Ava told him she wouldn't spit on him if he were on fire. "Oh, that breaks my heart," Sidwell said and tried to shoot her. Ethan stepped in front of the bullet, and Justine shoved Sidwell's arm down, giving Ava and Ethan time to get into a storage room.

While Ava worked to stop Ethan's bleeding, he told her Phoebe isn't his daughter.

Shannon has a theory about who Phoebe's father actually is, instead, and Amanda wants it on the record that she does not approve of it. That argument is worth hearing in full on this week's episode.

Sonny arrived at the gallery and offered himself up in place of a hostage. He told Sidwell it was Cullum, not Sonny, who killed Marco after Marco turned on the operation to help Lucas. Sidwell lost it, and Sonny got the gun away from him. Justine talked Sonny out of killing Sidwell and arrested him instead, then thanked him for not putting her in the position of prosecuting him for murder with a kiss.

The Shootout on Spoon Island

Cassius and Josslyn tried to stop Cullum's men from moving the cold fusion device off Spoon Island and were badly outnumbered. Cullum shot Josslyn, then turned on Cassius, telling him he had always been the fall guy for the whole operation. He told Cassius that Britt never actually had Huntington's, that her diagnosis had been fabricated from the start to keep her compliant, and that because he knew Cassius would eventually turn on them, he'd replaced her medication with poison instead of the saline Cassius thought he'd been sending her.

Josslyn reached for a fallen shotgun and shot Cullum before passing out. That's when WSB director "Z," played by John Oliver, made his General Hospital debut, arriving by helicopter with armed backup. "Everything's gonna be okay," he told Josslyn as he checked on her. "I'm here to help."

Neither host is convinced Cassius is actually dead, and they lay out why on this week's episode.

Josslyn Makes Her Deal

Z visited Josslyn in the hospital and told her Cullum was dead and Cassius hadn't survived either. He needed her account of events and made clear what he wanted it to say: that Cassius was behind the whole operation, and Cullum died a hero trying to stop him. Josslyn hated the idea of lying about Cassius after he'd saved her life, but agreed to it on the condition that Z release Valentin and Jason and drop all charges against them. Z took the deal.

Friday's Fallout

Dante and Lulu brought Rocco home, where he learned Dante had had Britt arrested. Dante explained it was to protect her from the WSB, but Rocco felt betrayed. Afterward, Dante told Lulu that Mac had confirmed Nathan was really Cassius all along. Lulu said the real Nathan never would have dated her, since he'd know how much it would hurt Maxie. She didn't say anything about the fact that she had dated him anyway, as Maxie's best friend.

Britt was held for questioning by Agent Vaughn and said she wouldn't talk without a lawyer. Liesl came to see her, and the visit fell apart fast. Britt apologized for not telling her about Cassius, but Liesl took it as proof Britt didn't really want her in her life, and left, saying she'd focus on the child who did want her attention, not yet knowing Cassius was gone.

At the PCPD, Molly represented Danny and Charlotte while Agent Vaughn questioned them about their fathers. Danny got adamant that Jason hadn't shot Cullum. Molly hadn't known beforehand that Danny knew more than he was letting on, but she caught it in that moment, while Charlotte tried to shut the conversation down. Later at home, Danny confronted Rocco about still defending Britt after everything.

Quick Notes

Alexis and Sonny checked in on each other about Kristina before Justine arrived to tell Sonny about Sidwell's safe house lead, which set the week's events into motion.

Tracy comforted James at the stables after Cassius left, later making s'mores with Molly while he and Tracy talked things through.

Tracy warned Sonny that Sidwell was a threat to Gio and pushed for Gio to move back to the Quartermaine mansion. Gio chose to stay with Sonny instead, saying he wasn't leaving after everything Sonny had done for him.

Reality Check

Shannon's daughter took part in a Sweded Film Festival at Row House Cinema in Lawrenceville, one of 18 shorts screened that condensed classic movies down to three to five minutes with no budget. Hers was a take on The Wizard of Oz. Beyond that, it was a low-key week of pool time, yoga, and taste-testing Aldi's canned cocktails picked up on a recent Ohio run.

Amanda's daughter, Megan, had a rough week after her bunny got sick and had to be put down once it became clear there wasn't a realistic path to recovery. The rest of the week was lighter, with a family dinner out and plans to watch fireworks on the Fourth.
