General Hospital Recap: July 6-10, 2026

Cassius turns out to be alive after all, Britt found out her entire Huntington's diagnosis was a lie, Valentin walked out with a full pardon, and Anna finally made it home to a house full of people who missed her. Listen to this week's Pier 54 episode here

Carly, Valentin, Sonny, and Brennan

Carly went to see Josslyn in the hospital and told her she was trying to find a way to get her out of the WSB. Josslyn held her ground, saying she made her own choice to join and she is staying in. She told Carly she could choose to still be her mother and support the decision, or not, but either way, she is not leaving the WSB. Brennan came by to see Josslyn as well, telling Carly he was happy she had gotten her happy ending before heading in to talk with Josslyn himself.

Sonny found out from Carly that Josslyn was in the WSB and that it was tied to their family's lifetime of decisions. While they were talking outside the hospital, a car pulled up, and Valentin stepped out. Carly left Sonny standing there and ran to hug and kiss him. Charlotte and Lulu saw the moment, too.

Later, Valentin was alone with Carly at her house. He asked her, "Is this still sexy if I'm not an international fugitive?" and she told him they would make it work. Sonny then walked in on the two of them and brought up Valentin's history, including helping Ava interfere with Sonny's own medication in the past, his past with Nina, and Cullum's firebombing of his apartment. Valentin admitted to the medication interference and apologized. Sonny warned Carly not to count on things lasting. After Sonny left, Valentin asked Carly if she was still okay with everything Sonny had brought up, and she told him again that the man Sonny described is not who she knows.

Valentin also went to thank Josslyn in person, brought her flowers, and asked why she had gotten him a pardon. She told him it was to keep Carly safe from being charged as an accomplice. He said he owed her, and she said she would keep that in mind. Before he left, she asked him to get a message to Anna. When Brennan came by afterward and learned Valentin was free, Josslyn filled him in and sent him straight to see Anna himself.

At the very end of the week, Valentin showed up at Anna's door. She answered and smiled at him.

Josslyn, Z, and Cassius

Z told Carly he had never had an agent's mother ask him to pull her off duty before. Carly explained that Brennan had manipulated Josslyn into the WSB. Z agreed to make sure Carly could get on the visitor list, calling Josslyn good at what she does. He also invited Carly to get drinks with him, recommending a Kir Royale on the Seine. Carly did not take him up on it.

Cassius was believed dead after last week's shooting, but he is actually survived and is being held in a secret WSB facility, a detail known only to Z's side of things. Z visited him and gave him a choice: take the fall for what Z had orchestrated using Josslyn, or come work for him directly.

Lucas visited Josslyn and told her he was not angry that she had not told him about the WSB, but that learning she had been assigned to manipulate him changed things. He said he no longer knows if he is talking to his niece or to an agent. Josslyn told him she would do it again.

By the end of the week, Vaughn came to find Nina in person and told her that Nathan had died. Nina later passed that news about Cassius along to Liesl, who knows his true identity.

Vaughn also stopped by to say goodbye to Josslyn before leaving on an overseas assignment. Both acknowledged that Brennan had been right that they could not keep working together.

Britt, Cullum, and the Truth About Her Diagnosis

Lucas visited Britt in jail and told her that her Huntington's diagnosis had never been real. Cullum had manipulated every test, and what she had been injecting herself with for years was saline. Britt did not want to believe him at first. Lucas explained that her physical symptoms had likely been psychological, tied to the fear of not getting her medication rather than an actual disease.

Britt called Liesl, and the two of them, who had been at odds, had a long overdue breakdown together over what the lie had cost. Nina arrived during that conversation and told them both that Cassius had died.

Dante visited Britt in jail as well, telling her he was not okay with how the situation was affecting Rocco. She asked to be released quietly so he would never hear from her again. Dante told her that it would hurt Rocco too, and that they still needed to figure out another way forward.

Joe later questioned Britt at PCPD about the syringes found in her possession, even though her release paperwork had already been prepared before the questioning began. She explained the manipulation and the saline, and he told her the WSB had declined to pursue charges against her, and she was free to go. Since she had no money or phone, he gave her five dollars and told her to pay him back later.

Rocco, Danny, Charlotte, and Valentin's Pardon

Charlotte told Lulu that Valentin had been in Port Charles, and the two argued. During the fight, they overheard Danny and Rocco arguing outside. Charlotte had already told Danny that Rocco shot Cullum, and Rocco also confessed the same thing to Danny directly, admitting he had done it trying to protect Jason, following a plan that had come from "Nathan".

Lulu refused to let Charlotte leave to go see Valentin, since it was not yet clear whether he was still wanted. Dante checked on the situation and confirmed that Valentin had been released with a full pardon and no charges pending.

Valentin then showed up in person. Charlotte told him Lulu would not let her see him. Valentin told her that it was fair since Lulu had not had the full picture yet, and promised they would see each other again soon. Dante then took Charlotte and Rocco to the pool so Valentin and Lulu could talk.

At the pool, Rocco thanked Dante for balancing being a father and a cop and apologized for some of what he had said earlier. Dante told him there was nothing to forgive and that they still needed to figure out how to co-parent with Lulu.

Danny, meanwhile, had gone to see Brennan, who was still recovering at Turning Woods at that point, and offered to trade information about who shot Cullum in exchange for help getting Jason released from WSB custody. Brennan told him it would not matter either way since Cullum was already dead, but Danny told him about Rocco anyway. He also asked Brennan to pass a letter along to Jason if he could.

Once Lulu and Valentin were alone, he told her he wanted 50-50 custody and reminded her that once Charlotte turns 18, she will be able to choose where she lives.

Lulu later confronted Carly, upset that Charlotte had been allowed to see Valentin without her knowledge. Carly explained she had gone to Steinmauer posing as Valentin's attorney to get him transferred back to the United States so she could use his information to help free Josslyn. Valentin had refused to leave once he arrived and stayed hidden at her house. Carly maintained that Charlotte had been safe there the entire time since no one knew he was staying with her. Carly also admitted that Valentin had tried to poison her a year earlier. Lulu pointed to that admission as exactly the reason Carly should not be with him. Carly held her ground anyway, telling Lulu that Valentin is not who she believes he is. Lulu left a warning to Carly that Valentin would eventually do to her what he did to Nina and Anna.

Curtis, Isaiah, and the Plea Deal

Curtis was offered a plea deal of two years with a chance of parole after eight months, plus restitution, for the assault on Isaiah. He turned it down on the phone with his attorney. Laura connected him with Martin to help.

At the pool, Isaiah, Portia, and Ric discussed the situation. Isaiah said he wanted something done, upset that he may never operate again. Ric pointed out the complication that both of Portia's children are Curtis's, tying everyone involved together. Trina saw the three of them from a distance and held herself back from stepping in.

Curtis later talked with Jordan about how the case could turn if it comes out that Willow, not Isaiah, was actually driving the night of the crash. He explained that losing his belief that Isaiah caused the accident would take away his provocation defense. Jordan told him that Willow has not actually been proven to be the driver, and that Michael, Tracy, or Sonny could all be capable of setting her up. She warned him that fighting the charges is a gamble that could cost him a decade with his baby. Curtis said he needs to protect his name for his child's sake and admitted he is worried about his safety in prison, given his background in law enforcement.

Brook Lynn, Chase, Tracy, and the Frame Job

Willow went to the hospital to enroll it in the new universal daycare program and ran into Tracy. The two argued, with Willow accusing Tracy of being the one straining her marriage to Chase, and Tracy bringing up Willow's past, including shooting Drew. During the conversation, Tracy realized it must have been Brook Lynn who altered Willow's GPS and trip log to set her up.

At the mansion, Brook Lynn showed Tracy a photo of Phoebe with a bunny toy that Tracy had given her. Tracy learned that Brook Lynn had given Lucy half of her Deception shares to help cover the frame job and called it reckless, telling her that trusting Lucy is a mistake.

Chase talked to Lucy at the pool about why she suddenly remembered Willow and told the PCPD about the night of the accident. After that conversation, he went home, and that is when the issue with Brook Lynn came out. Chase questioned Brook Lynn about giving Lucy those shares.

Chase later confronted Brook Lynn directly, asking whether Willow's trip log had been altered and whether Brook Lynn was behind it. She admitted it was her, saying she and Chase had promised not to lie to each other. Chase's main concern afterward was that this would hurt Willow's public standing rather than their own relationship. Brook Lynn called him out for making that his focus after everything.

Anna Comes Home

Gio cleaned Anna's entire apartment before she got back and stocked it with her favorite things. Emma made her a new mug to replace one that had broken, one she had also made for Anna when she was 10. Felicia, Mac, Emma, and Gio put together a small welcome home gathering. Anna heard that Fizz, Sonny's dog, had chewed through one of her end tables, which had to be replaced. She thanked Gio for taking care of Emma while she was away.

After everyone had left to give her time to rest, Dante stopped by to tell her that both Cassius and Cullum had died. Anna apologized for not vetting Cassius more carefully, saying he was the reason she had been held in the mental institution. After Dante left, Peter appeared to her and suggested she could finally get her revenge.

Obrecht also visited, asking Anna to help clear Cassius's name, saying he had only been working for Cullum. Anna refused, pointing out that regardless of who was pulling the strings, Cassius was the one who locked her away. Obrecht revealed she had been held in the same room after Britt went on the run, and that Josslyn had been there too. Liesl suggested they go talk to Josslyn and Carly to sort out what had actually happened.

Ric, Elizabeth, and Lucas

Lucas was already asleep on Liz's couch, hungover, after having crashed there the night before during a date night with Ric. Ric complained about having to deal with him being there. In the morning, Liz made breakfast, and while talking with Lucas, she noticed a medical record update showing Brennan had been discharged from Turning Woods far sooner than expected for a stroke and locked-in syndrome patient. The two of them also talked through Lucas's guilt over sending Marco to get medication for Britt, a mission that turned out to be based on a lie neither of them knew about at the time. Liz theorized that something in Willow's house, where Drew is also being cared for, could be toxic and suggested that Willow have it tested.

Liz brought that theory directly to Willow's house, where she found Nina and Willow together. Brennan was already there when she arrived, and had already joked about helping "kill" Drew, prompting Willow to say they are not murderers, before Liz showed up. Once there, Liz laid out her theory that two men who had spent time in that house had both suffered strokes. Brennan gave his own reason for his stroke, explaining it had come from exposure to something through WSB work, unrelated to the house, and that he had come by to thank Nina for checking on him while he recovered.

Sonny, Turner, and the Z Case

Turner told Molly she cannot prosecute Z herself since he threatened her life directly, creating a conflict of interest. She said Molly is the strongest option for a conviction, even though it puts her book tour and her safety at risk, and gave her 24 hours to decide. Molly pointed out that she also cannot prosecute Sonny, since he once saved her life.

Turner later met with Sonny and joked about how risky it had been to kiss him with the police around. She warned him that Sidwell could come after him through Molly and Ric. The two went back and forth about whether they should keep seeing each other, saying in the same breath that they could not lose each other and that they needed to stop, before ending the conversation together anyway.

Ava and Ethan

At the hospital, Ethan turned down Ava's offer of fifty thousand dollars, telling her they are even since he is already keeping her secret about Phoebe. Later at the pool, Ava teased him about catching her staring, then reminded him that when he thought he was dying, he told her to live for Phoebe and denied being her father. Ethan was firm with her, telling her to drop it. He is not after Quartermaine's money and made clear he had made a promise to Delilah that he intends to keep.

Quick Notes

Michael and Jacinda spent the day at the pool, discussing the altered GPS data and noting they seem to be the only two people who do not think the crash was a crime. They also talked about Daisy's first birthday, including the smash cupcake Michael got on video. Chase walked up and accused them of rooting for Willow's downfall, and Michael repeated that he had nothing to do with the accident.

Kai and Trina also spent time at the pool, trying to turn their brains off for a day. Trina appeared to still be unaware that Josslyn had been shot and hospitalized.

Port Charles Pipeline

Tammy wrote in with a fan-made comic strip imagining Shannon being kidnapped by Faison and Valentin rescuing her, timed perfectly to Valentin's tenth anniversary on the show. She had fixed an earlier version after realizing she had put the wrong character in it the first time. It got both hosts laughing through most of the segment.

Angela shared a Facebook reel from actor Andrew Hawks, who plays Cullum, talking about the support of his family and thanking fans for the new video format of the podcast.

Cheri wrote in about the Valentin Port Charles 411 episode, pointing out that Helena's fear of Valentin in 2009 lines up oddly with Charlotte's stated birth year, since the show never explained how they got around the age math involved in that storyline.

Charys wrote in with a theory about the geography of the Spoon Island shootout, suggesting that guests are ferried to the front of the island while industrial docks and generators are kept in the back, which would explain a detail from a past episode.

Reality Check

Shannon closed her 100th personal closing this week, a repeat client whose original contract had been signed right at the start of the COVID shutdown and had to wait out the full closure before finishing the sale. Her daughter had her first full week working with the public, which went well despite a coming staffing change, and had an unplanned outing to the National Aviary as part of a monthly self-care challenge. Shannon also had a doctor's appointment for her daughter that involved wearing a heart monitor as a precaution, with no answers back yet.

Amanda had a rough week. Her mother's doctor appointments turned up more questions than answers, including low blood pressure and thin blood from long-term blood thinner use, leading to a hospital stay. On top of that, her daughter Madeline came home sick from a friend's house. Amanda starts a new job at the end of the month and is trying to get everything else in order before then.

Given everything that happened with him this week, from the pardon to the reunion with Charlotte to the doorstep moment with Anna, the timing could not line up better.
