This Isn't Clueless

Sonny Corinthos spent the week insisting he had nothing to do with the Pentonville attack on Jenz Sidwell and Curtis Ashford, and almost nobody in his family believed him. Charlotte was sent to boarding school, Danny and Rocco came to blows, and Brook Lynn found out exactly what Michael has been planning for her marriage. Watch the full episode below, or listen on Spotify or find us on your favorite podcast player.

Sidwell, Curtis, and the Pentonville Attack

Elizabeth told Dante that the two inmates brought in from Pentonville were Jenz Sidwell and Curtis Ashford. Isaiah Gannon was surprised to find Curtis was his patient and offered to bring in another doctor. When the guard objected, Isaiah said Curtis still had the right to refuse treatment from him. Curtis kept Isaiah, who found broken ribs and ordered more tests.

Dante asked Sidwell who did this to him. Sidwell answered, "Who do you think?" and then went into SVT. Isaiah told Dante he couldn't be in the room and had Dr. Tristan Roberts paged. Citing a conflict of interest, Dante handed the investigation to Joe Fitzpatrick, even after Joe pointed out that he was the officer who arrested Curtis in the first place.

Curtis then told Joe and ADA Justine Turner what one of his attackers said to him: "Sonny Corinthos owes you this and more." Justine asked whether he might have misheard or jumped to a conclusion. Curtis was certain. When Joe asked about a warrant, Justine said they would not move on Curtis's word alone and sent him to find evidence. Later, Dante told Justine the charges could become murder if Sidwell didn't survive surgery. When she suggested another of Sidwell's enemies might be responsible, Dante said it sounded like she wanted Sonny to be innocent. She said she just wanted all the information. Joe came back with security footage from Pentonville, and Dante recognized Vito and Sully, two men who work for Sonny.

Monet Mitchell, now at Diane and Alexis's firm, visited Curtis and offered to handle his appeal. Curtis wanted to know why she was so interested, but Elizabeth sent Monet out before she answered. Monet left her card with Liz. She never mentioned that she is Jordan's sister.

Ric Lansing came by next and told Curtis that Sonny would never order a hit on Sidwell, let alone on him. He asked Curtis to tell the PCPD he'd been confused. Curtis refused.

Willow tried to get updates on both patients from Tristan, who wouldn't share anything. She went to see Curtis herself, and he figured out quickly that her real interest was Sonny. He said he couldn't do much from a cell and asked her to get him a pardon from the governor. If she got him out, he would get her Sonny. Willow then asked Tristan to keep Curtis at GH for three more days as a personal favor. Tristan agreed. On her way out, Willow told the guard to let Trina visit her father for as long as she wanted.

Sonny, Dante, and Justine

The attack interrupted Sonny and Justine in bed at their apartment above Charlie's. Justine was already worried about how many people might find out about them, and whether Dante might put the pieces together. Sonny told her that suspicion without proof is nothing. Then Dante called and asked her to come to the hospital.

At Sonny's, Rocco stopped by to ask whether Sonny and Drew could make peace. Sonny said he didn't expect that situation to get any better. Ric arrived having heard about the attack and wanted to know what Sonny had sent Vito to Pentonville to do. Sonny explained that he sent Vito to tell Sully to step in if anyone went after Sidwell, because he knew he'd be blamed if anything happened. Joe showed up with questions and told them Curtis had named Sonny. Once Joe left, Sonny worried his family would think he'd lied about leaving the business.

Sonny called Jason over and asked whether he had ordered the attack. Jason said he would never do anything without asking Sonny first. With Vito now missing, Ric concluded Vito had betrayed Sonny. Ric and Jason pointed out that not everyone in the organization comes out ahead with Sonny getting out, which could leave his people open to someone else's money. Jason apologized for letting Sonny down. Sonny said he needed Curtis to retract his statement. Danny arrived later with an injured hand, and Sonny told him that he and Rocco are like brothers.

Dante came to Sonny next. He said he didn't think Sonny had lied about getting out, but he didn't believe Sonny's denial, and he brought up the footage of Vito meeting Sully the morning of the attack. Sonny repeated that he'd sent Vito to keep Sidwell safe. He reminded Dante that if he wanted Sidwell dead, Sidwell would be dead, and that he could have shot him at Ava's gallery. Dante said he'd been an idiot to believe his father was going to be a good guy. Sonny told Dante to get out because he didn't want a son like him. Gio heard it from the doorway.

Dante told Gio he should leave with him. Sonny told Dante he could think whatever he wanted, but not to call him a liar in front of his grandson. Dante told Gio to learn from his mistake and walk away while he could, then left. Sonny looked Gio in the eye and denied any involvement. Gio told him Trina had asked him to make sure Sonny didn't hurt her father again. Sonny said he respects Curtis and is no threat to him, and that he still loves Dante, even though Dante is wrong about him. Gio hugged his grandfather and cried.

Dante went to the Quartermaine mansion and apologized to Tracy for all the pushback he'd given her about his father. He told her she had been right about Sonny all along.

Sonny went to the apartment he shares with Justine, drank straight from the bottle, and texted her that he needed her. When she arrived, he took it to mean she believed him. Justine said she was there for him to look her in the eye and tell her the truth.

Drew, Ava, and Vito

At Drew's house, Drew told Ava that Sonny was being blamed for the attack on Sidwell, but that Curtis had been Sidwell's cellmate and was hurt too. Drew said he felt horrible about Curtis, and Ava was upset because Curtis is Trina's father. The plan to set Sonny up was Ava's, and Drew paid Vito. When Vito arrived, they scolded him for Curtis getting hurt and told him to disappear if he wanted the rest of his money. Ava suggested Sonny would deal with Vito if he stuck around.

Scout was on the phone with Rocco outside, venting that nobody ever gives her father a chance, when Drew stepped out with Ava and Vito. She watched from around the corner as they wrapped up.

Charlotte, Valentin, and Lulu

Valentin and Lulu told Charlotte she was going to St. Agatha's, a boarding school in Maine, where she would have structure and constant supervision. Charlotte argued the school year had already started. Valentin told her she'd already been accepted and the arrangements were made. Charlotte said he was punishing her for doing what he taught her to do. He said she clearly didn't understand the danger she kept putting herself in. When Charlotte begged Lulu to let her move back home, Valentin warned her that playing her parents against each other wouldn't work this time.

Lulu asked for time alone with her daughter, and Valentin left. Charlotte assumed she'd won. Lulu told her to reel it in. She walked Charlotte through what could have happened with Drew if he had misread the situation or acted like the predator she was trying to paint him as, and how a false accusation could make it harder for real victims to be believed. Charlotte said she hadn't thought about it that way.

Charlotte found Danny and told him she was being sent away. She said Rocco told Carly what she was up to, and that he did it to impress Scout. Danny reminded her they'd run special ops on Spoon Island and could handle this. Charlotte promised she'd be back, and Danny promised he'd be right there.

Meanwhile, Valentin went looking for Carly at the Metro Court Gardens and found Anna instead. He told her he was a terrible dad. He had raised Charlotte in extreme circumstances and was proud of how she navigated them, and now he believed he had given her a distorted view of the world and her place in it. He said he might as well have put her in that car himself. Anna was surprised he'd accepted the blame Charlotte put on him. Valentin admitted it never occurred to him that something could be going on between Charlotte and Drew.

Danny, Rocco, and Scout

Rocco told Danny that Charlotte didn't have her phone because Carly had found them at the Metro Court, and that Scout was with Rocco when Danny's text came in. Danny thanked Rocco for helping Charlotte and said they could still rely on each other when it counted.

That didn't last. After Charlotte said goodbye, Jason talked with Danny at the boathouse. Danny said the plan was all Charlotte's and that he told her it was a bad idea. Jason thought some time apart would be good for them, and told Danny that if Charlotte asked him to break her out, he needed to say no. Jason later talked it over with Carly, who recognized a little of herself at that age.

Danny called Rocco to the boathouse and pushed him to convince Lulu to bring Charlotte home. Rocco blamed Danny for what happened to Charlotte, then said that if Sam were alive, she would probably send Danny away too. Danny punched him. They traded blows until Danny told Rocco to stay away from him and his whole family and left. Rocco ignored Scout's video call because of his face and called her back instead.

The next morning, Lulu caught Rocco trying to sneak out and saw his black eye. Rocco told her the fight wasn't about Jason, and that he and Danny hadn't gotten along in a long time. Lulu said Danny was the common denominator in her kids' problems.

Danny waited until Drew left, then went to see Scout and told her about the fight. She knew Danny swung first because Rocco doesn't punch people. She called him a thug, said he hurts people the way his father does, and told him to stay away from her.

Danny showed up late for his chores at the Quartermaine mansion and told Tracy he punched Rocco and that his sister hates him. Tracy said Scout would get over it, because that's what siblings do. She told him he should have walked away since Rocco doesn't know how to fight, but she figured Rocco had said something to set him off.

Lulu came to Tracy next, calling Danny out of control and saying she would press charges if he came after Rocco again. Tracy told her that was a terrible idea unless she wanted Rocco to stop speaking to her. She reminded Lulu how much she enjoyed being told what to do as a stepdaughter, and said that after meddling in Ned's life endlessly and hearing from Dillon only a couple of times a year, she knows how much a parent can come to regret it. When Lulu called Danny the common thread, Tracy said they're all teenagers, and they're all the problem. Danny had clammed up about the fight, which told Tracy he was protecting Rocco. She told Lulu to let Rocco make his own mistakes and love him anyway.

Scout went to see Rocco and said she never wanted to see Danny again. Rocco said he deserved the punch and told her what he'd said about Sam. Scout said her mom never would have sent Danny away. She would have worked through it with him. Scout admitted her own dad can be a total jerk who makes her feel alone, but she loves him. When Rocco asked if she hated him for what he said, she said she could never hate him, and they kissed. Lulu saw them through the window, made plenty of noise at the door, and invited Scout to stay for dinner. Scout said maybe another time and left.

Should these two be kissing at all after growing up under the same roof? The debate on this week's episode got settled by a voice that was never supposed to be on the mic.

Scout, Alexis, and Molly

Molly went to Michael for advice on being a better aunt before she made things worse for Scout. She told him Charlotte had a plan against Drew, that Scout knows about it, and that Drew doesn't. Michael told her she was doing the right thing.

Scout went to Alexis's office to ask whether Charlotte could be prosecuted. Alexis said there were no legal consequences, but it wouldn't be good for anyone if it got out, and that people make mistakes, especially at Charlotte's age. When Alexis said Drew's choices had created the kind of conflict that leads to schemes like this, Scout accused her of hating her father. Alexis said she didn't hate him, only some of his decisions. Scout left upset.

Molly stopped by afterward to tell Alexis that Michael had been a great listener. They worried Scout might tell Drew what happened, giving him one more reason to keep her away from Sam's family.

Jordan, Michael, and Justine

Jordan told Michael at Aurora that face-to-face meetings have been hard since her scars, and that Monet's comments about her appearance made it worse. Michael talked about his own surgery and said the emotional scars stay after the physical ones heal. After she left, he made a call to a doctor.

Elizabeth called Jordan about Curtis, and she rushed to GH. Curtis told her Sonny was responsible. Jordan couldn't understand why Sonny would want to hurt him, and Curtis said Sonny's men were after Sidwell. Jordan said Sonny would pay for this. She told Michael, who said his father had nothing to gain by going after Sidwell and wanted to understand what happened. Jordan wanted to get Curtis moved to Spring Ridge. Michael said Curtis's attorneys could handle that, then told her he had gotten her an appointment with Dr. Muller at the clinic in Baden-Baden, where she'd be going next week.

Later, Jordan confronted Justine about what she planned to do about Sonny. Justine said there was no evidence and still reasonable doubt. Jordan said she wouldn't expose their relationship, but if Justine kept seeing Sonny, she was not the woman Jordan thought she was and not her friend.

Michael pulled Jordan aside and told her the clinic would move to its waitlist if she didn't give them an answer. Jordan didn't feel she could leave Curtis. When she asked what Curtis would get out of her going, Michael said, "A life partner who doesn't resent him." Jordan said helping Curtis mattered more. Michael told her to do it for herself and reclaim her identity.

Brook Lynn, Chase, Michael, and Tracy

Tracy asked Chase whether he was finally filing for divorce. He said he still loved Brook Lynn but couldn't raise a child with someone he doesn't trust. Tracy called him a hypocrite for demanding Brook Lynn prove herself while always giving Willow the benefit of the doubt. Chase said he isn't married to Willow and walked out.

After a tennis match at the boathouse, Brook Lynn wondered whether she and Chase should separate. Michael told her the marriage was over, but she should stay in it legally until Chase ended up in bed with Willow, which would help her get full custody. Brook Lynn shoved him into the lake. Once he climbed out, Michael admitted he had been setting Chase and Willow up. Brook Lynn called him a manipulator, just like Willow. Michael told her to focus on her daughter and let Chase make his own mistakes.

Chase walked up as they were arguing, and Michael left to take a call from the doctor in Germany. Brook Lynn said Michael had only been giving her unsolicited advice. She again suggested they get their own place, even with separate bedrooms. Chase said no. They needed to work this out in her family home, he said, or they were just running away. When Brook Lynn pressed for the real reason, he said he didn't want to come home and find she had taken Phoebe and left so she could claim he abandoned them, and that Tracy could probably talk her into it. Brook Lynn said it was good to know where they stood and walked away.

Anna, Tristan, Emma, and Gio

Gio took Emma on a date at the Metro Court Gardens. Emma spotted Anna across the room with Tristan Roberts, and Gio sat her with her back to her grandmother so she wouldn't be distracted. He told her that he and Trina are moving forward with their music, but without Brook Lynn, and that he felt bad for his mother. Anna stopped by the table to ask if Emma was keeping tabs on her. Emma said it was a coincidence.

Anna told Tristan that Baines was letting her see a civilian doctor, so she wouldn't need to impose on him anymore, and that her treatment would be in Port Charles. Tristan said she could still come to him if she needed anything. Anna asked if that meant building shelves or doing crossword puzzles. Tristan said he knew the toll the bureau can take, that he doesn't shock easily, and that he is a good listener. Anna said he reminded her of another unflappably good listener. When he asked where that person was now, Anna said the other side of the world.

Gio later went to Sonny for career advice. Lois had told him about the glory days of L&B Records, and he and Trina need a manager, but Trina might not want to work with Lois. Sonny said he might know some people, but it had to stay quiet.

Trina, Josslyn, Gio, and Emma

Trina told Gio she couldn't make it to the studio because her father was in the hospital, beaten at Pentonville, and his grandfather had ordered it. Gio said it had to be a mistake. Trina said Sidwell was the target and her father was collateral damage. She asked Gio to ask Sonny not to kill her dad.

When Joss learned what happened, she promised Sonny would not get away with it. Trina admitted she never understood Joss's hatred of Sonny and thought she was making him out to be more of a monster than he was. Now she understood, and Sonny made her sick. Joss said getting justice for Dex and shutting Sonny down is why she joined the WSB, and she would stop him no matter who or what it cost her. Trina said she'd have the champagne waiting.

Emma had a meal with Mac and Felicia and couldn't believe what Sonny did to Trina's father. Mac said Sonny knows how to cover his tracks and reminded her of Stone. Felicia said Sonny's intentions are good. They both warned Emma that dating Sonny's grandson puts a target on her back. Emma said she wasn't staying away from Gio. Mac said he just wanted her living in the real world, not Sonny's fantasy land. Gio arrived and took Emma aside. He told her about the fight between Sonny and Dante, how gutted his grandfather was, and that despite Sonny's denials, he wasn't sure he believed him.

Quick Notes

Carly brought a housewarming gift to Lucas's apartment and was surprised when Joe opened the door. She started asking him questions until Lucas walked in, told Joe not to answer, and sent him off to work. Carly told Lucas about Charlotte and said Valentin respects what she has to say. Lucas asked if it goes both ways, and then whether she loves Valentin. Britt showed up with champagne before Carly answered, and Carly left.

Britt stayed for a wine night with Lucas and declared herself done with relationships. She was open to flings, but her heart was closed for business. Lucas wished her luck with that.

Port Charles Pipeline

Kim wrote in after our Musicians 411 with two characters we didn't cover. Katherine Delafield was a famous classical pianist who came home from a world tour to find Robert Scorpio renting the cabin she used for practice. They bickered, fell in love, and got engaged, and she bought Duke's nightclub with Frisco as the headliner, until she realized Robert was still in love with Anna. Kim also reminded us about Connor Olivera, Sean Donely's son, who performed at Mac's original Outback and talked Mac into hiring Felicia. She sent clips of both, and we will be watching them.

Chandra let us know that the character Will Trent grew up in foster care on General Hospital as part of his experience, and that Jophielle Love, who plays Violet on GH, has a recurring role on the show as a detective's daughter. We are officially starting Will Trent. She also caught Shannon on James Lott Jr.'s anniversary roundtable, which turned into a great conversation that ran well past what anyone planned.

A listener comment also reminded us that we left Juan Santiago out of the musicians episode. While we are making corrections, Colton Shore played the saxophone on the show, which we forgot to mention.

Send your messages to hello@pier54podcast.com, and you might hear yours on a future episode.

Reality Check

Shannon had two closings, one pushed back a day but closed all the same. She and JD finally picked out countertops, with measuring set for the 16th, and a smart sink is on the way, so the kitchen might be done by November. Her daughter received her first subscription box bought with her own work money, a Halloween Pusheen box with a hoodie inside. They also squeezed in a quick zoo trip to see the new lion cub, Kiazi, whose name means potato in Swahili because her father is from Idaho.

Amanda called her week exhausting, with her kids working through situations she's been through herself and the familiar question of how much to let them figure out on their own. Matt and Julie sent out their save the dates for a private ceremony followed by a small celebration the next day, which Megan has a few opinions about. Madeline cheered at the homecoming game, and Amanda is not ready to think about her being in high school next year.

This Thursday on the Port Charles 411

We are starting our look at Alexis Davis with Part One, just as she marks 30 years in Port Charles. This week puts her right in the middle of Scout, Molly, and Charlotte's fallout, and Monet is now working out of her firm. If you want to know how Alexis became the Alexis we know, start here.

That wraps up General Hospital for the week of September 28 to October 2, 2026. New episodes every Monday and Thursday at GeneralHospitalPodcast.com, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you listen.
