Cheese Isn't a Color

This week on General Hospital, February 9 through 13, covered a lot of ground. We moved between Anna’s situation overseas, Lucas realizing something is off at Wyndemere, Lucy escalating things with Sidwell, and Maxie finally waking up.

Lucas does not fully know what Marco is involved in yet, but he knows he is not being told the full truth. Earlier in the week, Carly tried to make amends with Marco for Lucas’s sake, and Lucas believed she meant it. Afterward, Lucas overheard Marco and his father talking about how they were making people do things they did not want to do and specifically about Britt being controlled by withholding her medication. That is what shifted things for him. It was no longer vague suspicion.

Lucas confronted Pascal about his attitude toward him, even asking if Pascal was jealous. Pascal did not answer. Later, Lucas overheard more and was seen by Pascal. Liz told Lucas directly that it is not safe for him to keep living at Wyndemere now that he has heard what he heard. We then saw Lucas confront Marco on the parapet.

Cullum showed up unannounced at Carly’s place and told her she needed to stop distracting Brennan from important work. He would not share what that work was. Carly pushed back, saying Brennan is capable of managing his own time. After that visit, Carly met with Valentin and relayed the information about Anna being labeled as having a breakdown in France. Valentin placed a phone call to the French hospital and was able to get information about Anna’s condition. He told Carly that Anna had been found after escaping and that authorities were moving toward placing her in a mental health facility.

Dante later went to Brennan looking for answers. Brennan had already been told by Cullum that Anna went rogue, refused protection, and initiated an unauthorized operation. Brennan did not believe that. He said Anna does not crack. Dante and Brennan agreed that what they were being told did not add up. They made it clear that they would share information carefully, with Dante stating that if he learned something actionable he would still have to follow up on it, even if he protected his source.

At the station, Laura and Mac informed Dante about Anna and offered him the police commissioner position. Mac acknowledged that he could have been considered but said his time is split between Port Charles and Boston with Maxie, so he could not commit to the job fully. Dante later called Chase into his office. He made it clear that if he accepted the position, Chase would need to take orders from him and not go rogue. Chase said he understood, but the conversation flashed back to him testing Michael’s keys at Drew’s house, which we know could come back on him.

Lucy’s storyline escalated in stages this week. First, she walked in on Ava and Sidwell talking about art and Wyndemere. Lucy confronted Sidwell and gave him an ultimatum. Sidwell told her he does not respond to ultimatums and he had done his homework on both Ava and Lucy and that everyone deserves second chances. Lucy left angry.

Lucy and Ava later ran into each other at the nail salon, where they continued to mince words. Lucy tried to imply that Ava was only selling art because she needed the money. Ava pushed back and reminded Lucy of the massive commission she made selling Wyndemere. Lucy stormed out without drying her feet and left without paying.

After that, Lucy went to Sonny and asked him to deal with Sidwell, claiming Sidwell was misusing Deception’s name. Sonny refused and pointed out that she is in business with Sidwell and cannot simply ask him to remove him because she is upse

t.

Lucy then went back to Sidwell, apologized for the ultimatum, and accepted a dinner invitation knowing it would be for the three of them. Ava did not know that. At the restaurant, it became clear that Sidwell intended to entertain both women at once.

Portia decided to move forward with a paternity test immediately. She asked Britt if she had an opening and then called Isaiah to provide a sample. She informed Curtis after setting it in motion. The results confirmed that Curtis is the father. Isaiah handled the news calmly and told Portia he would still care about the baby because it is hers. Curtis suggested formalizing custody and visitation arrangements before the baby arrives to avoid conflict later, and Portia agreed.

Kristina and Molly discussed Molly’s manuscript at the nail salon. Kristina admitted that she submitted the book to the publisher without Molly’s permission. Molly was upset that she no longer had the ability to make revisions once it was accepted. Cody had read part of it and was trying to understand what Molly meant by saying the character was him but not him. The conversation made it clear that Molly would have handled things differently if she had known the book would move forward without changes.

Tracy found Cody reading Pride and Prejudice. She teased him but also pointed out that Molly had been writing over several months, meaning she had been thinking about him the whole time. She told him to keep reading and pay attention to how the characters develop instead of reacting to early chapters. She reminded him that the story ends in a love story.

Danny asked Alexis about the Cassadine family tree for school. Alexis explained the lineage back to Nikolai and clarified how Danny and Charlotte are connected. Danny later told Jason that he kissed Charlotte and was interested in her. Alexis alerted Jason that Danny seemed especially focused on how closely related they are.

We commented on Charlotte having social media under her real name, questioning whether that makes sense given Valentin’s situation. On screen, Valentin was upset that Charlotte shared information about him being in contact with Danny. Charlotte said she could trust Danny and that Nina is using Brennan to protect Willow. Valentin told her not to trust anyone.

Nathan and Lulu were working on James’s Valentine’s party and seemed to be getting closer. They talked about feelings, and Lulu referenced following her heart. Brook Lynn walked in. After Nathan left, Brook Lynn confronted Lulu and pointed out that Lulu is being hypocritical. She reminded her that Lulu did not hesitate to blow up Gio’s life by exposing his adoption but now expects everyone to respect her boundaries.

In Boston, Felicia, James, and Georgie were at Maxie’s bedside. James talked to her about school, hockey, and how he had turned down a Valentine because he loves his mom the most. Georgie broke down and asked Maxie to wake up. Maxie did wake up and immediately told James he would absolutely be wearing his helmet.

After the kids left, Felicia told Maxie that when James refers to “dad,” he means Nathan, because Nathan is alive. Maxie processed that information on screen.
