Blue and Yellow Make Green

We are recapping General Hospital the week of April 13 through April 17, 2026. No Port Charles Pipeline submissions came in this week, so we went straight into the show. And there was plenty to talk about. Willow crossed a line that even we did not see coming, Ethan Lovett showed up on Friday in the least subtle way possible, and Ezra turned out to be a more layered character than we expected. Also, we are officially mad at Hulu's episode headlines.

Ric and Alexis

Ric showed up at Alexis's door saying Sonny sent him, and Alexis made him work for it before she let him in. Once he was inside, he told her that Danny had gone to Sonny asking about joining the mob. Alexis took it hard and started blaming herself for his choices. Ric sat her down, walked her through some deep breathing, and reminded her that none of this was her fault given who Danny's family is and the life he has grown up around. It was not the Ric we are used to seeing. He genuinely was there for her. The ball gag in the basement did not help the mood, but Alexis handled it with a straight face and told Danny it was a Halloween costume. Ric's joke about it was exactly what you would expect from him, and it landed. When Danny came back in and asked what Ric was doing there, he did not try to hide anything. He just said yes, I told her. Shannon appreciated that Ric left immediately after. The whole thing was the right amount of awkward and familiar for two people who have history and are never going to be fully comfortable around each other again.

Danny and Rocco

Dante took Danny and Rocco to the batting cages to get them talking. Neither of them made it easy. Danny said he did not want to play softball this year because he could not do it without his dad. Rocco said his hand was bothering him. Dante dropped the warm-up plan entirely and just asked them both directly what was going on. After Dante left, the two of them did finally talk a little. We found out Danny told a kid named Hank that his girlfriend was leaving him for Riley Wheeler, which is why Danny got into the fight. And Danny asked Rocco to help him figure out why Jason would leave. Rocco carrying that weight while dealing with his own situation is a lot. When Dante told Danny that his mom loved him and that he still shows up for him no matter what his relationship with Jason looks like, it was one of the better moments of the week.

Lulu, Britt, and Brad

Britt and Brad were at the Brown Dog talking about Jason when Lulu and Nathan showed up. Brad had to be the one to tell Britt that Nathan and Lulu were actually dating, not just spending time together. Britt went to the bathroom to pull Lulu aside and told her she needed to stay away from her brother. Lulu didn't take it well. The bigger problem was that Lulu has been going after Britt without ever telling her that it was Rocco who shot Cullum. Britt genuinely does not know. She told Lulu to stop bringing up the embryo situation, which, fair point on timing, though not something you can simply be told to get over.

Joss and Cassius at the Gym

Cassius approached Joss at the gym and the whole interaction felt off from the start. He sat down next to her while she was doing sit-ups and started asking pointed questions about her family, her dad, whether she felt pressure to be a doctor like her sister. Joss answered all of it like it was a normal conversation to have with someone she barely knows. Shannon and Amanda both agreed this made no sense. Nobody walks up to a near-stranger and digs into their family history unprompted like that. If she had dropped something in her gym bag, or pretended not to know what she was doing at a weight bench, she could have gotten him to come to her naturally. Instead, he went home to Jenn's place and started replaying the whole thing, clearly wondering why she approached him that way. He's the lead detective on Marco's case. That was not a smart play.

Cassius and Sidwell

Cassius went to Sidwell and told him the investigation is not pointing toward Sonny. Sidwell was not happy. He brought up the fact that he has Cassius placed in that detective position for a reason and is not seeing the return he expected. He also raised the question of whether Marco's killer was someone Marco trusted, based on how close the stabbing was. Sidwell mentioned Lucas as a possibility. Shannon does not buy it for a second, given that Sidwell himself invited Lucas to stay at Windermere after Marco died. He had to have seen how much they loved each other. We also talked about how nobody has tracked down Marco's phone yet, which feels like a massive loose end. His fitness tracker should show everything right up to the end.

Ava and Laura, Then Ezra

Ava went to Laura to talk about Sidwell and Ezra. Laura said she is glad Ezra has someone like Ava around, even if she wishes he would stop doing things that make Port Charles worse. Meanwhile, Ezra's flight plan is still not approved and Sidwell told him directly that he is not performing. Sidwell pointed out that blackmailing Laura is not working, and Willow as a resource is not producing either. Ezra responded by noting that the one thing all of those people have in common is Sidwell himself.

That conversation apparently sent Ezra straight to the Brown Dog. Dante tipped off Laura that a certain councilman was getting drunk and disorderly, and she went down to record him. Ezra was picking fights with the bartender over being cut off and threatening to go after his liquor license. Laura stepped in, helped him leave without causing more of a scene, and took him back to her apartment. He made one inappropriate comment that she shut down immediately. Once she got coffee going, she came back and he was already passed out on her couch.

When he woke up an hour later, he rallied like someone half his age, which is impressive and also medically suspicious. He and Laura came up with a plan to take Sidwell down. Laura was gracious enough to tell him she does not blame him for the situation she is in, because Sidwell would have come up with it on his own. He admitted he got in too deep and did not know how to get out. Shannon's theory is that Sidwell originally caught Ezra in something small, maybe involving escorts, and used that as a hook. Now he knows too much. Shannon also has a feeling that Sidwell is going to eventually set Ezra up to look like he fell off the wagon and make it look like an accident. The second we start to actually like a character in Port Charles, you know what happens.

Willow and Nina

Willow told Nina directly that she was the one who shot Drew. She framed it as needing to have control and needing insurance against people who might turn on her. Then she handed Nina a syringe and told her to inject Drew, explaining that what she had given him was medication for strokes, not pain. Nina went through with it, then tried to dispose of the needle in a zip-lock bag, which is not how anyone disposes of sharps. Willow pointed that out. Shannon would have walked straight to the police at that point and taken whatever consequences came. What Willow did to her own mother, who was making up an alibi to protect her, was hard to watch.

Drew was blinking constantly while Nina was in the room, and Nina kept telling him to stop. He was clearly trying to communicate something. She never figured it out.

Willow, Wiley, and Jacinda

Willow took Wiley out for a milkshake to celebrate a good grade on his report. Jacinda came into the restaurant on her break. Wiley ran up to tell her about his grade because she had sent him some links and helped him with his research. Jacinda was completely respectful. She was not overstepping, she was not making a scene, she told Wiley good job and kept it moving. Willow made it uncomfortable. After dropping Wiley at his sleepover, Willow went to Jacinda's office and told her to stay away from her kids. Jacinda told her she knows exactly the type of person Willow is, that she has known girls like her since junior high, and that until a judge says otherwise she is with Michael and will be around the kids. Willow tried calling her a meal ticket. Jacinda pointed out that she was supporting herself just fine before Michael came into the picture. Michael walked in at the end of it.

Cullum in the Hospital

Cullum asked Britt who shot him, and she told him it was Jason. He said he was looking right at him when he was shot. She reminded him she was unconscious on the pavement at the time. Shannon's point was that if he has already ruled out Jason, his next question should be who in Sidwell's circle would have a reason to go after him. We still think it might have been Nathan.

Britt and Lucas had a conversation in her office about Marco's phone. Britt thinks Cullum has it, which means he may have already seen every message between her and Marco. Lucas is not convinced Cullum could get into the phone. Shannon would like to know why nobody has tried to track it yet.

Brook Lynn, Tracy, and the Car

Brook Lynn hit a guardrail, not another car. Dante confirmed there was no vehicle-to-vehicle contact. Tracy told Brook Lynn to park it by the boathouse and cover it with a tarp. The next morning it would be taken care of. Corinthians Towing presumably got a call. Tracy found out through Michael mentioning Jordan's accident at Charlie's, and Brook Lynn has not come forward. The social worker has already flagged concerns about whether Brook Lynn and Chase fully understand that the foster placement is temporary. The whole Quartermaine household should probably have been background-checked before any of this was approved.

Baby Phoebe is adorable and clearly several months older than the storyline says she is, but we are letting it go.

Jordan

Jordan asked Curtis for a mirror and reacted to the cut on her face as though she had been badly

disfigured. She has a scratch. A deep one, but she is not disfigured. Shannon and Amanda understand that it is her face and it is a lot to process, but the conversation with the dermatology consult felt like a stretch. Jordan also realized the accident was her fault because she leaned over to kiss Curtis while he was driving.

T.J. is apparently overseas. Nobody knows why. Curtis talked him out of flying home.

Ethan Lovett Returns

Friday's Hulu headline told you everything before the episode did. Ethan Lovett returns, Christina is caught off guard. That was the headline. Shannon and Amanda are mad about it. It needed to be a surprise. He showed up at the docks, and Christina came across him in a way that felt a little too convenient. He went to Sonny's looking for Sonny, who was out with the girls. Christina was there babysitting Donna. His reaction when he saw her made it clear the visit was unexpected for both of them.

On the phone before he arrived, Ethan was telling someone he would be at the docks every day at noon if they wanted to come find him. Shannon's theory is that he is Phoebe's dad. Delilah's phone had information about art, and Sidwell has been buying up pieces aggressively. Shannon thinks Ethan and Delilah may have been running a con together, possibly targeting Sidwell through Ava's gallery, and something went wrong. Ethan went to see a baby at Holly and Robert's place in France recently, and his reaction to Daisy had the energy of someone who is thinking about fatherhood differently now.

Coming Up

Thursday's Port Charles 411 is part two of Diane. We thought it was going to be two parts. It is three. There is just a lot to cover with Diane Miller, and we would rather give her the time she deserves than rush it. We will also be re-releasing the Spinelli episode as a bonus episode since it has been a few years and Ethan's return makes it worth revisiting.
