General Hospital Recap May 11 - 15, 2026

Ava, Ethan, Sonny, and Ric

At Ava's Jerome Gallery, Sonny had a gun on Ric. Ethan had been following Ric and reported back that he had been talking to Ava at the gallery, and that Ava then returned to her table with Sidwell. From the outside, it looked like she could have been delivering a message. Sonny ordered Ethan to take Ava outside, and Ethan put her in the car.

Inside, Ric admitted to Sonny that he had not been entirely straight with him, then had Sonny open the briefcase so he could show him what the Ava transaction was really about. He had purchased a piece of art for Elizabeth through Ava, and it had to be done covertly because of a legal complication involving the seller's divorce. Ric told Sonny he could keep having Ethan follow him if it made him feel better. Sonny lowered the gun.

The brothers shared a laugh and agreed to let Ava sit in the car for a while longer before calling Ethan to release her. When Ava was finally brought back in, she complained about being questioned by one of Sonny's people. Ethan told her she should try working with him rather than against him. She was not interested.

Ric, Alexis, and Elizabeth at the Port Charles Grill

Ric was at the Port Charles Grill waiting for Elizabeth when Alexis came in. She joked about whether he was there trying to win her back. He made clear that was not what was happening, and the two of them fell into an easy back-and-forth about Molly's upcoming book release and the idea of putting together a party for her. Alexis told him she had spoken to Sonny and had actually defended Ric, saying she believed he was genuinely trying to be a good brother. She wanted to know whether it would be a problem if Sonny was at the party.

Alexis left, and Elizabeth arrived. Ric gave her the piece of art he had acquired through Ava, and she was genuinely delighted, kissing him right there at the table.

Ethan, Kristina, and Baby Phoebe

Ethan met up with Kristina Corinthos-Davis at the Metro Court Gardens to get her advice on his situation with Ric and Sonny. As they talked, he kept glancing across the restaurant at Brook Lynn, Chase, and baby Phoebe. Kristina noticed and suggested they go over and say hello.

Brook Lynn welcomed them. When she asked Kristina if she wanted to hold Phoebe, Alexis was visibly alarmed. Kristina held the baby. Back at their own table, she told Ethan about the baby she had lost and about the role Ava had played in it. Ethan listened, and then asked whether she thought Phoebe would be happy with Brook Lynn and Chase. It was the kind of question a father might ask.

Alexis then sat down with Brook Lynn and Chase to discuss the adoption situation. She told them there was no guarantee they would be allowed to adopt Phoebe, advised them to petition early to get to the top of the list, and suggested they conduct their own private search for Phoebe's family first. She also warned them that background checks were coming and that if there was anything they would not want exposed, now was the time to address it. Brook Lynn shifted in her seat at that. Chase answered confidently that they had nothing to hide.

By Friday, the search was already moving. Alexis came to the Quartermaine house, and Chase and Brook Lynn went through everything they had found on Delilah. Alexis thought she knew someone who could help dig further.

Drew, Nina, Brennan, and Willow

At Drew's house, Brennan and Valentin had gotten into a confrontation. Nina grabbed the syringe containing Drew's weekly dose and used it trying to stop them, aiming for Valentin but hitting Brennan instead. He went down. Valentin grabbed the guns from the standoff, told Nina to let him know if Jack died, and was out the door before the ambulance arrived. Nina called 911, then followed the ambulance to the hospital in her car.

That left Drew alone in the bedroom. He had been regaining movement in his hand, and with the house empty, he got to the landline and was working to call 911. Nina called Willow to let her know what had happened and that Drew had not received his dose. Willow rushed home and found the phone knocked off the hook. She walked in before Drew could get the call through.

At the hospital, Nina greeted Willow with relief, but Willow shut it down immediately. She told Nina that lingering near Brennan's room was going to raise questions, cut off every sentence Nina tried to start, and told her they had about 72 hours before the medication wore off. She was not waiting around to find out what Brennan remembered when he woke up.

Elizabeth, after Nina had walked her through what had happened at the house, noted that two otherwise healthy men collapsing at the same address within three months was a strange coincidence and brought that observation to Lucas.

Willow and Sidwell

Willow went to Wyndemere and found both Lucas and Sidwell there. Sidwell had been looking at photos of Marco. He and Lucas had been talking about how Marco had only agreed to the original interview at Miller and Davis to humor his father, and how learning that Lucas lived in Port Charles had convinced Marco to stay. Sidwell told Lucas that what he could not get past was that Marco had trusted his killer enough to let them get that close. He also said he believed that if Marco were anyone else's son, the investigation would be further along by now. He thought that who he was had something to do with why the killer had not been found.

When Lucas stepped away, Willow told Sidwell what had happened with Brennan and proposed that they stop administering the drug to Drew and let the recovery story take center stage, arguing it would redirect attention away from two men collapsing at the same address. She reminded him that drugging Drew had been his idea and told him to figure something out. Sidwell made clear that he had given the orders and that she would follow them.

After she left Wyndemere, Willow went straight to Michael's office, pushed the door open without knocking, and told him she needed a moment. He was caught off guard.

Chase, Willow, and Michael's Investigation

Early in the week, Chase ran into Willow at the park during her morning run and asked for her help navigating the adoption process, worried it would look like they were using connections to skip ahead of other families. She offered to make calls and kept offering through the rest of the conversation.

During their time together at the park, someone nearby was photographing them. It was not until later in the week that the person was revealed to be an investigator named Elaine, working for Michael. Elaine's report: Chase and Willow are well on their way to having an affair. Brook Lynn has no idea.

Brook Lynn, Gio, and Trina

Brook Lynn came to see Trina and found her already with Gio. Trina said she wanted to do the showcase but only if Gio could be the one to accompany her. Gio was worried that being Brook Lynn's son would lead people to assume favoritism. Brook Lynn told him she would not have brought him in if he were not good and that her professional reputation was built on exactly that.

Cullum's Week

Cullum arrived at the hospital and went to Nina first. She had been present when Brennan collapsed, and Cullum pressed her for information. She gave him nothing and instead directed him toward Lucas. Lucas was normally bound by HIPAA, but Cullum had WSB documentation showing he held a healthcare proxy for Brennan, which allowed Lucas to share the full medical picture. Cullum also explained that Jack Brennan has no family.

He went in to see Brennan, confirmed he was genuinely unconscious, and told him that the stroke may have saved his life, because Cullum had already been working out how to handle him.

From the hospital, Cullum went to Sidwell, arriving after Willow had already been and gone, and got the account of what had happened at the house. When Sidwell observed that things would get more complicated once Jack emerged from his current state, Cullum said simply that he could not be allowed to come out of it.

Cullum had requested a meeting with DA Turner in a public location rather than at her office. When he arrived at the Metro Court, Turner and Sonny were already there together. Cullum objected to Sonny's presence. Turner pointed out that she had arrived early and that Cullum had requested a public location. He asked for everything the PCPD had on his shooting. She told him she did not work for the PCPD and that his organization had removed Jason from custody before any real investigation could happen. When he pushed, she told him this looked like exactly the kind of case she had always wanted, one that would expose the WSB for operating outside its own protocols. He left empty-handed.

Cullum then went to Dante's office looking for the police evidence from the shooting. Dante said the file had been misfiled and he would locate it when he could. Cullum said he did not believe that. Dante told him he did not really care.

Charlotte, Carly, and Valentin

Earlier in the week, Charlotte stopped by Carly's to see her father. Carly told her he was not there because he had gone to deal with Jack Brennan. Charlotte said, "About time." Carly also told her that because of Jack, Josslyn was not safe, and warned Charlotte that the best thing she could do for her father right now was to stay safe, since worrying about her made him vulnerable.

Valentin later confirmed to Carly what she had suspected: Nina had double-crossed him. He told her that, with Brennan out of commission, Cullum would be significantly more dangerous going forward.

Carly went to the hospital and went at it with Nina. She demanded to know if Nina had been hiding Valentin at the house. She pointed out that two men had now had strokes at that address within three months of each other, and made clear she was worried about what that meant for her grandchildren. During the back-and-forth, Nina dropped something Carly had not known: Jack and Valentin had been arguing about Josslyn before Nina used the syringe. That stopped Carly.

On Friday, Carly came home and told Valentin about the exchange with Nina. They were interrupted when Cullum appeared at the door. Valentin hid. Carly let Cullum in, and he told her the WSB had a file on Jason and that they knew Jason would do anything for her. She told him Jason had never actually shared much with her, and that his organization had removed Jason before she could speak to him. Cullum said Jason must be covering for someone, and as he was talking, he spotted a framed photo of Danny and Jason on the mantle. He made a quick exit. Valentin came back downstairs, gun in hand, ready in case Cullum had tried to hurt her.

Dante, Lulu, Nathan, and Rocco

Dante went to Lulu's house and confronted her about why she had not told him their son had shot the head of the WSB. Lulu explained that Nathan had been first on the scene and told her to stay quiet, and that she had kept it from Dante because of what happened to Michael. Dante told her she had not let him be a father.

He called Nathan to his office and went directly after him. Nathan snapped that he had made the decision so Dante would not have to choose between arresting his son or covering for him, and told Dante he should be thanking him. Dante told him he did not recognize him. Nathan apologized, then suggested Dante put the gun and the evidence in the incinerator before Cullum could track it down. "If you figured it out, Cullum can, too," he warned.

In the park, Danny and Charlotte confronted Rocco about how he had been acting. They told him they knew Sidwell had taken Jason and that they were planning to go to Spoon Island to find evidence. Rocco yelled at them about how dangerous Sidwell was and told them that if they tried, he would rat them out to stop it. Danny told him he was trying to save the one parent he still had, and that Rocco had both of his. Charlotte would not leave with Rocco when he tried to go.

Dante found Rocco at the boathouse. Rocco asked why Dante was not arresting him. Dante said because he was his father. He walked Rocco through what had happened at Pier 55, said that Jason and Britt would have been killed if Rocco had not done what he did, and told him that hurting someone, even when it has to happen, stays with you regardless of who you are.

Later, Rocco showed up at Britt's in tears, telling her he just needed someone to talk to and begging her not to send him away. By that point, Britt knew the full picture, including that Rocco had followed her to the pier without her knowledge and what he had done to protect her. She did not turn him away.

Lulu and Britt

Lulu summoned Britt to her house and told her she knew what had happened at the pier. Britt made clear the people who knew were exactly those who needed to, and told Lulu that Rocco had followed her there without her knowledge. Lulu went back and forth between acknowledging that Britt cared about Rocco and blaming her for what happened to him. Britt asked what she thought all the months of pushing him away had been about. They did not get anywhere.

Britt and Lucas

At Britt's, she and Lucas had drinks and talked through their situation. Britt thought about disappearing, but they worked through their options and decided the best thing they could do was go to Wyndemere, act normally, and rely on each other. Lucas also reminded her that she needed to keep going if she wanted to stay on her medication.

Lucas had also been at Wyndemere when Willow arrived to see Sidwell and had been talking with Sidwell about Marco before she walked in. He was also the person Elizabeth brought her observation to about two healthy men having strokes at the same address.

Elizabeth and Dante

Elizabeth caught Rocco at his community service shift early in the week and checked in. She told him his feedback had been strong, reminded him she was available to talk about anything, and asked gently about his hand. He said there was still some pain. She told him to come back if it got worse.

Later in the week, Elizabeth came to the police station dressed for her evening out. Dante stopped when he saw her, briefly at a loss, and then told her she looked nice. She told him she was heading to dinner with Ric. Dante opened up about what had happened with Rocco, how much damage he felt he had done to their relationship, and how Rocco had stopped trusting him and was leaning on Nathan instead. Elizabeth told him not to make it about proving to Rocco that Britt was the villain. He just needed to be there consistently so Rocco would feel he could come to him.

She also shared her own experience with trauma at a young age, and told Dante that one thing Rocco had, which she had not had at that point in her own life, was two parents standing with him. There was also no official record of Rocco's visit to the hospital, which had been kept off the books.

Curtis, Portia, Isaiah, and Jordan

Trina came to see Portia to help plan the baby shower, and they talked through whether to invite Jordan. Portia thought it would be fine since Jordan would be in the baby's life regardless, but they worried she might feel obligated to show up before she was ready.

DA Turner brought Isaiah in for questioning about the night of the crash. He said that if she had anything concrete, she would have a warrant. He asked how many black BMWs there were in Port Charles. Curtis came in after and told Turner that Isaiah's refusal to engage made him look more guilty. He remains convinced Isaiah was behind the accident.

Isaiah went to Portia and told her he was being questioned. She told him she knew it was not him.

That evening, Isaiah and Portia were out to dinner at Metro Court Gardens, and he apologized that the baby moon had not worked out because of an important surgery coming up for a young patient. The baby kicked, and she told him. He put his hand on her stomach. Curtis walked in, told Isaiah to get his hand off his baby, and when Isaiah said he was going to be a better father to that child than Curtis had ever been, Curtis punched him. There was something in the phrasing of that line that seemed aimed at something more specific in Curtis's history with Trina, not just the pregnancy.

Molly came to Jordan's to reconnect and apologized for the distance that had grown between them, saying she had always admired Jordan's resilience. She brought an orchid. Justine also stopped by to visit Jordan, and the two talked through the lack of evidence to prosecute Isaiah. Jordan admitted she was afraid of how far Curtis might go. At home, Curtis told Jordan he did not see scars when he looked at her, only the woman he loved. Jordan walked to the mirror and removed the bandages herself. "I don't want to let it go," she said. "I want the other driver to face what he did to me."

Josslyn and Cassius

Cassius brought Josslyn food and books, but she was not satisfied and pushed back hard. He sat down with her and opened up, telling her he had fallen in love with Nathan's life as he got to know James, Liesl, Nina, Dante, and Lulu, and that sometimes he forgot he was playing a part. He said his feelings for Lulu had been genuine, but she ended things. He also said the thought of James being hurt when this was over killed him.

Josslyn laid out a path: let her go, take her to Brennan's office. Cassius told her Brennan was in a coma. She said then they could go to Dante together, bring down Cullum, and eventually expose who Cassius really was in a way that would land softer than it would otherwise. "Maybe you can keep all the things about Nathan's life that you've fallen in love with," she said. "And when the dust settles, they'll see you for the first time."

Tracy and Laura

Tracy came to Laura's office and found her with Ezra. She took credit for having the helipad shut down and pushed Laura on why she was still placating Sidwell if they had the same goal of getting him out of Port Charles. Laura explained they were going about it from different angles and managed to convince Tracy to put the injunction on hold. After Tracy left, Laura and Ezra agreed they needed a better plan, one that would push Sidwell into making a mistake on his own.

Port Charles Pipeline

Three listener messages came in this week.

Tasha wrote in from New York to confirm that Josslyn and Ethan are cousins, a question that came up the previous week and has been settled.

Cheri sent in a theory about baby Phoebe. Her read is that Ethan was helping Phoebe's mother Delilah escape a bad relationship, and that burning the picture was his way of making sure Delilah could not be traced. The implication is that the baby's father was someone dangerous, and that Ethan was protecting them both.

Charys wrote in about the Curtis and Jordan crash to push back on the conclusion that Jordan caused the accident. Her argument is that Curtis was the one who leaned in to kiss her and created the distraction. Shannon and Amanda agree that Curtis was the source of the distraction but hold that Jordan was behind the wheel and turned toward him knowingly. The debate over who carries the real responsibility for that night, and how it connects to Curtis going after Isaiah now, gets real air time on this week's episode.

Reality Check

Amanda watched The Outsiders for the first time after her daughter Madeline started reading the book for school and wanted to see the film. A dress-up day followed at school. Amanda also started a new job this week, which currently has her in at six in the morning. She has been on time and is not enjoying the hour. Last week of dance before summer, with the recital on Sunday.

Shannon's daughter completed a twelve-week independent living pilot program and received the Most Grounded superlative at the closing ceremony, awarded for living as her most authentic self and advocating for her own needs.
